Atiku wasted 4 chances because of miscalculation.in 1992 sdp primaries,he stepped down when he could have forged more alliances to win the ticket..as vice president,all he needed doing was remain loyal to obj without any form of betrayal,backstabbing or dissent or ambitious moves and the ticket was his in 2007.in 2003 when majority of the pdp governors sided with him,he should have taken the ticket having in mind the vengeful and unforgiving nature of obi who now dealt him an eternal political blow.

In 2011 after gej had an understanding with the north to handover power in ,2011,he should have made a pact to support gej in exchange for 2015 ticket.even in 2014 when gej begged him,he should have remained in pdp on the condition that he gets pdp ticket in 2019 and then ask gej to drop sambo for another VP.supoorting buhari was a foolish miscalculation as buhari was going two terms and handing over power to the south.supporting gej was his surest bet.after he lost the APC primaries,he still had the chance to align with buhari..
In 2022,he could still have made obi his running mate or prevented him from decamping or contesting.but he still has slim chances in 2027 that's if obi doesn't contest and in 2031 when the ticket is back to the north...
