This was initiated by a bigoted Southern Kaduna guy. Just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. The University management knew there's a possibility of Thursday being Day 2 of Eid El fitr and thus declared it as a holiday. There's no fuss about it. Some schools shut down towards the end of December till after new year, but you rarely hear any muslim complain. Who no like holiday sef?

The public holiday ends on Thursday (making it 3days) Kaduna State Workers don't go to work on Friday, and the following days are Saturday and Sunday. Hence, work resumes on Monday.

Nonsense. The Federal government announces religious public holidays in consultation with religious authorities.
There's nothing in the announcements od public holiday by the FG that explains adding 4 extra holidays to the Eid for muslim students, while not even having the decency to give Christian even an extra day for those who travelled long distances to celebrate their Easter holidays.

For Easter , work resumed the following day after break but for this Eid work resumes on the 16th. Difference on 6days .
