The FCT police command has apprehended a notorious armed robbery kingpin named Chukwuemeka Oputa, also known as Pounds and Dollars, along with four other members of his gang. Oputa, aged 38 and from Imo State, was arrested on April 4, 2024, following the earlier arrest of another gang member, Moses Hassan, on February 14, 2024. The gang members confessed to multiple armed robberies and other crimes in the FCT, and they are also affiliated with a cult group called Vikings. The police recovered several weapons, including AK47 rifles, pistols, and ammunition.
