There's room for improvement
No Davies in the second leg

I no dey do room for improvement, that was the group stage. This is the knockout stage, we needed to put our best foot forward but made a lot of self inflicted mistakes throughout the game.

Germany is going to be hostile, intimidating and tough. Can our players and coach handle the pressure?

I still believe

I still would have preferred Tomi over Zinny. Our problem isn't keeping possession, our problem as evidenced by both goals is getting caught from pressing way too high. Zinny isn't better than Kiwior defensively. He may give us more with possession but defensively, Bayern will continue to target that side of our defense.
My choice of Zinny was not to defend but to control the midfield which he did excellently allow Rice to press higher

Calm down away goal is long gone
Na extra time be that if they play draw in allianz

I know.i mean it is still against us regardless.

How come Trossard scores while in the centre of the box in all ucl home games and Teta still no wan play this guy in centre?

Trossard is now 4th ever in UCL history to score in 4 consecutive home games after Piero, Kanoute and Oscar.

What's your overall assessment of Kai tonight?

I missed the days of Bayern 5 Arsenal 1
This game was disappointing because Arsenal players were too excited especially in the first half. Bayern's goals were gifted.

I just like the pummeling we're receiving lately. You need to be really pummeled to build experience. And I'm sure this team will have learn a great lesson.

One positive going into the second leg is that our away form is actually strong, if not stronger than our home form sef.

Bonus: It is guaranteed Bayern will go trophyless this season. #HarryKaneeffect

Exactly. All of them now will know why this is the night of the Meister and the besten. The grande reunion!!

I just watch the pk review. There was contact enough. I guess they felt it was too soft sha.

We need to kill their counter game. They enjoyed it alot tonight with the little i watched. They looked ready for our wing play and nothing much centrally.

One lesson for Arteta is to realize that no matter how sweet using Kai is, not ever opponent will be exploited by him. The earlier. I saw Route 62 ratings. Omo. What happened to both? Terrible and below 6. Heiiii

Raya figured Kane would go for the last angle and wanted to start his dive early so he can get to the ball because of his short hands but the DIRT picked a different side.
Kon be like na away we play tonight. I'm sure Bayern didn't expect all these gifts. Even Tuchel was beaming on the touchline. Smh

Jesus is the best for UCL
Partey must start next week
Tomi should also play lb
Trossard can come in as sub again

Absolutely.

We struggled with managing the emotions of the stage. We also made some tactical errors, especially with our press that ultimately cost us 2 goals.

Those 4 are key to advancing. The rest are more like Extra. Although partey struggled with the pace. Shows how coming as a sub since injury has impacted him. Guy can barely run to tackle. I chew my words back. The Kiwior stuff didn't work and i dunno why.

Plus Coman hitting post late on

Inexperience nearly cost us this game.

We were more mature in the second half.

Kudos to Mikel for being proactive with his substitutions.

The game is still wide open for us.

This Bayern side is the weakest I’ve seen in a long while and I don’t know if it is because their fans weren’t there to support them or not, but we were dominant from the beginning till the end.

We go again in Allianz Arena.

COYG!!!

All of una shouting PK have forgotten that Raya passed the ball to Gabriel after the ref had already blown for a GK and he picked it up

Ref ignored it and said at full time that he wasn't going to give it as it was a childish mistake

Kiwior had a torrid night. I blame him for the two goals we conceded cos I don't know if it's lack of concentration that made him to miss that ball Gabriel passed to him. Not that he was even pressed sef.

And the second goal, he'll need to write thesis to explain how Sane disappeared and appeared at his back with the ball. Cos to me, that move certainly look like magic.

So glad we got the 2nd goal. Allianz arena will be a hostile place but I hope the boys don't allow the nerves to unsettle them. Tonight, they seemed nervous. Some tho.

The first 3 Subs were real spot on. Trossard coming through for us again.

But abeg, Havertz no fit just hold ball for 18 or near the box beat player? Once nobody is near him to pass the ball to, my guy always looks clueless. No wonder his first point of call is always to dive whenever he "hears" a trailing leg.
I give him props for the first goal. It was his ball recovery that made that goal possible cos Saka don already lose that ball.

I don't know if Saka is really nursing an injury because he's not been himself lately. I mean, Saka couldn't beat Davies one on one on most occasions? That's really surprising.
And it's been like that this season against most top opponents. I just hope his injury is not derailing him.

Anyways, Aston Villa next. We need to continue our league cruise — where we stopped from

When I saw kiwi in the line up
I said na kiwi our oga use
Lush said he was expecting it
I was surprised because a sane or Intelligent manager won't try such against flying wingers
Sane is one of the most deadly wingers we have he can roast any full back if you don't stand well well
I am still hopeful because the 2 goals were avoidable and we can correct that at allianz
Tomi should start that day
No jourghino abeg
No Kai too as Jesus is more effective

Is he one of the best FBs in the world that Saka should be afraid of him?

Raya was too excited which led to the first error to goal. That changed the dynamics of the game.

The second leg will not be much different. Bayern aren't that good. Plus Davies will not play.

Tuchel has destroyed Bayern. If United can score 3 in Allianz Arena, gala also scored and they find it hard to defeat Copenhagen. Anything can happen in the return leg.

They would be playing hard though as the UCL is the only hope they have to win a title. grin

Una still fit chop goals sha grin

We've everything to play for this second leg. Hopefully we win. Thank God no away goals

The guys rushed things ystdy, I dunno if it's the occasion.

We need Partey back. The passes to beat press and transition us quickly is what we lacked ystdy but e be like say old age don come. Man has been lacking fitness and looking rusty since he came back from injury

Personally it's not a penalty.

There's contact, yes but Saka was looking for contact. He went straight into the leg instead of going towards ball. That's really poor and wrong decision from him
