It's a safety precaution to wear safety jackets when embarking on a boat trip.
I have supervised alot of projects in riverine oil communities of Ajatiton,Ajamimogha and other riverine communities and I always go with my personal life jackets.
Incase of any eventualities, this life jacket should be able to keep you safe.
The person controlling the boat does not care as he is a very good swimmer and if anything happens,he can easily swim to safety even at very long distance.
