chikason22: The Leadership is a microcosm of the people. We are not nice people. We take advantage of each other at the slightest opportunity. Evidence abound all around in the offices, hospitals, markets, queues, etc It is this same behavior that shows when people get elevated to a higher position. The behaviour has always been there. Everybody forming smart, and using nepotism to make judgement. We are deceiving ourselves by looking at a phantom Leadership. This will continue till end of the world if we do not change our behaviour at the individual level. No matter how many Leadership changes happen, the same result will be gotten until we change the mindset of a significant population say 70-80% of our people. |

The foreign Airlines has not committed any sin, its purely marketing strategy at work!! Before Air Peace entered the market they should be prepared for such marketing strategy and response by existing players. It shows Air Peace did not do a proper due diligence, your rivals must react in the market! There is no foul play here,Similar thing happened in the telecoms sector in Nigeria and Glo weather the storm so Air Peace should park one side if they are not ready to go the long haul Is Air peace not have a field day in the African market she operates in especially in Nigeria. |

Tribalism is what is killing us, Nigeria should not go for any other flight rather than airpeace, it's means that those useless foreign air was exploiting us before now. |

ignis:apologies.for the earlier attack. Competitive advantage and comparative advantage you quoted does not apply in this case. If BA crashes its fare to 500k as speculated, that's far below cost of production/operation and the sole intent is.negative. there is no comparative advantage that will.make Airpeace operate at 400k except govt subsidy. So there is no basis to blame the new entrant for dirty games of the dominant player in the market. |

Hmmm At this point in time,I just wish if we Nigerians traveling out stick to AirPeace cuz as other airlines like Lufthansa,KLM and the likes are dropping their price, they are still benefiting from it,there is still gain there looking at how they’ve explored us in the past years Some of us on the other hand would want to patronize where it is cheaper which I am fearing because these airlines are dropping their price lower than AirPeace,if we can stick to AirPeace,we will see that we are being explored by these people |
Re: Air Peace Flight To London Sparks Price War Among Foreign Airlines by writeprof(m): 11:30am On Apr 11 |
AIR PEACE should be nationalised immediately. Nigerian government/citizens 50 per cent ownership and Onyeama and Co 50 per cent. AIR PEACE should be used to begin work on the idea of bringing back our national carrier via a PPP scheme. Whether we agree or not, the Nigerian government must ensure that AIR PEACE overcome this AIRLINES NEOCOLONIAL CONSPIRACY supported by some African/Nigerian saboteurs/traitors. |

soccerlite: What I mean by nationalised here is Public Private Partnership (PPP) system that would leave Onyeama and Co run the business while the government is to provide other supports as shareholders. |

PHIPEX: I never blamed the new entrant. You could read my earlier comment. I was only saying that Airpeace should have envisaged this aviation politics and manipulation. I advised consequently thinking out of the bus using the competitive advantage they have to remain in business. What are these competitive advantages? Firstly, Airpeace can operate London routes from all local airports in Nigeria and transfer at Lagos to London. No airline in Nigeria have this advantage. Secondly, Airpeace takes off from Nigeria and land at London with any layover stop (only BA have does this). Thirdly the promotion of African culture and dishes in the flight is another one. In business everything is not about price. BA flight price has been double of other airlines, yet people fly BA because of the direct flight to and fro London. |
