Yes, its commendable action and that can improve on understanding amongst d two religious practitioners and consolidate on love and caring that already exists. It will also help d governor in transiting to politics ie from local to national level (president). Unlike d nasty and averse behaviours of peter obi to muslims and islam when he was a governor. |

Imo state is a Christian✝️ state. No to elevation of Islam in any guise. Mr governor just doing this to gain favour from his Muslim☪️ masters. The truth is that Imo state is a Christian✝️ state. |

franugo: Do you know why Owerri is most beautyful? Because Owerri consumed the development funds that would have been used to extend modern development to other Imo cities that were on near equal level of urban development with Owerri when Imo state was created. Earlier when Imo state was created, a clique of Owerri people hid under state capital mantra and got all federal government institutions and parastatals to Imo state located in Owerri area. Nothing left for the other old cities like Orlu and Okigwe to develop with. |

Nairalander248: Nairalander248: There is no ethnicity known as nigerian, so in reality there is nothing like Nigeria. to claim someone is Nigerian means the person's ethnicity did not exist before year 1840s which is false and means the person is a creation of british people which is also false.. Nigeria is just a location on a map created by eu:ropeans , it is not the ethnicity of anybody. You are first of all your ethnicity before you're nigerian. Nigeria is a bri:tish map which groups indigenous African nations/tribes into the location known as Nigeria so someone from a different tribe can never ever have equal stake in another part of Nigeria because that is not the person's ethnic territory. If you say you're nigerian then it means you were created by the br:itish and started existing in 1914 and you're a self-proclaimed Bri:tish slave. |

In Muslim☪️ states, Christian ceremonies are officially treated with contempt.. In fact, the Muslim☪️ leaders and preachers tell their sheepish, illiterate and ignorant followers that to even wish a Christian Happy Christmas🎄 or happy Easter is haram ( sin ) in the face of their Allah☪️☪️☪️ But in Christian states, the leaders will be falling over themselves to make life sweet and enjoyable . Intolerance of others by Muslims is the biggest problem in Nigeria.🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 |
Re: Eid El Fitr In Owerri (pictures) by kikake: 12:33pm On Apr 11 |
codemaniacs: In your analysis, Nigeria is not supposed to exist, since no one from another ethnic group can go to another area of Nigeria and claim equal stake with indegenes of the area. But no country in the world exists in that your terms. For a place to be a sovereign country, its citizens have the freedom to settle in any part of the country and have equal stake with the indegenes of the part they settled in. See how crude oil and gas deposits in the Niger Delta region have distorted the brains of some of you who want one Nigeria because of proceeds from crude oil and gas deposits. |

Nigerians and mediocrity, what's beautiful about Owerri. You people should better travel out and stop being mediocres. |
Re: Eid El Fitr In Owerri (pictures) by codemaniacs: 12:54pm On Apr 11 |
kikake: You can be a U.A.E citizen but you will never have equal stake with the emiratis indigenes.. Nigeria doesn't exist it is the name of a bri:tish company and a location on the Whyte mans map. Trying to claim equal stake with indigenes in other parts of Nigeria led to civil war in the 1960s.. Trying to claim equal stake with indigenes had led to killing of indigenous farmers which is still a continuous problem in 2024. Crude oil in Bayelsa which is Ijaws territory led the I:gbos to do coup and abolish regionalism which would have given the indigenes of the oil rich states more power and control. |

Broveens42: Children of perdition, your hypocrisy is ALWAYS CLEAR as you guys are always trying to mislead others. Same place you all called Rochas Iberiberism (BECAUSE HE'S APC), same place you called Hope Uzodimma supreme court Governor (Because he's APC). Who now made the state a beautiful state? Thank God some of your people had sense to vote and also SUPPORT these Governors. Otherwise the clueless illiterates among you are the ones that can cause a civil war and then run away like cowards when they cant handle the war again. |

Re: Eid El Fitr In Owerri (pictures) by Broveens42(m): 3:12pm On Apr 11 |
damoobaba: Very beautiful question. I'm glad you asked this questions but I will school people as usual. As far back as 1999, it was clear Owerri had a path to improve on it's beauty through individual efforts to beautify their surroundings. Infact it was like a competition to plant flowers in front of your houses/streets. It became somewhat culturized, as evident in beautiful landscaping accross the city center. Not satisfied with the level of beauty, government came in (through ikedi ohakim) to ban okada(second city in Nigeria to do this), demolish billboards littered all over the city , through the clean and green initiative. The plan was to sustain the master plan of mbakwe, then governor of old imo state. Today, Owerri is the only city that appears beautiful, even with an untarred street, because of this habit. So it is no coincidence when I say Owerri is the most beautiful city in Nigeria today, because there was a clear path to this assertion |

Broveens42:Bros, you need to travel out of your native Owerri enclave to get enlightened. State is different from state capital. Even if Owerri becomes London in your parochial eyes while the other cities in Imo state remain unattended to as they are today, no saner person can give plaudits to Owerri and govt of Imo state. Natives of Owerri are less than 0.5% of the population of Imo state. |
