ON IBEDC'S PUBLICATION ON ESTIMATED HOURS OF POWER SUPPLY

The Transmission Company of Nigeria hereby notes that the publication circulated by IBEDC on 9th April 2024, which stated that TCN is responsible for its failure to "deliver estimated hours of supply to your feeder", due to System Outages and Tripping on TCN" 's feeders is Incorrect.

TCN took time to investigate the allegation and wishes to set the record straight and hereby note as follows:

1. That IBEDC's publication on the 9th of April 2024 across their social media platforms, attributing their inability to deliver estimated hours of supply to its customers is incorrect.

2. That the feeders mentioned in the publication are NOT within the TCN network. This means that most of the listed feeders in the publication are 11kV operated by IBEDC and completely outside TCN's Operational Control and in IBEDC's network.

3. That the reasons given for the outage on IBEDC 11kV and 33kV are earth/ over current faults, which have no bearing on TCN's frequency control operations.

4. That the staternent by IBEDC has been verified by TCN's regional management in Osogbo in conjunction with IBEDC Officials themselves and has been proven to be false, necessitating necessary corrections being made.

While TCN sees this misinforrnation of IBEDC as a ploy to undermine and mislead the public against regular power supply, we remain focused on supporting the government's move towards a more robust and efficient power supply.

Consequently, TCN assures the public of its cornmitment to continue to work hard to effectively transport the entire bulk electricity received from the generating companies to distribution load centres nationwide.

IBEDC needs to be changed

A call to their customer speaks volumes about the kind of company they are, I called to lodge a complaint and the customer rep lady sounds so aggressive to the extent that I have to hung up. I visited their office and their staffs were so full of themselves but also sounds clueless

My community took these people to court due to poor power supply to our area, we won and they supply us reasonable power for less than 2 months and returned to blackout again

I got tired and switch to solar, ever since then I never regretted my move

If you are tired of epileptic power supply to your area, I will implore you to switch to solar if you can afford it and if you can't afford it but prefers to pay small small, it's still possible as we have some organizations that will pay for your while you pay them small small

Talk to us on WhatsApp 08137750741 for solar system that meets your budget and appliances at the best price

when nobody wants to take responsibility, that's gross irrespónsibility..

Nigerians are really in for a long ride this way for a very long time..

NEPA was unbundled to create efficiency in the system but sadly for over 10 years.. the inefficiencies seen during the NEPA days have since doubled plunging Nigerians into more darkness while they are made to pay more for the darkness..

The innocent citizens don't deserve this, honestly!!

Inept officials who should step down out of shame...but the shameless can't be shamed.

Instead of looking for solutions, they play the blame and denial card everytime. No sector in Nigeria is credible anymore.

To all intent and purpose, IBEDC is a completely useless disco one can ever deal with in Nigeria. They are full of excuses and blame game. They are reviewed as very wicked entity that is not suit for business example. I keep asking what offence does the states under them committed to warrant this wickedness of not giving light to people as deemed fit, whether Band Aor B or C, D , Or E. They are very hostile, just like the devil's advocate

Especially, Ibadan people and businesses are really suffering. A change will come, and many wicked workers of IBEDC will really be dealt with.
