The leader of the Lebanese Forces party against Hezbollah: “Now is the time of danger... our confrontation continues!” Samir Geagea, who heads the Lebanese Forces (Christian) party, points an accusing finger at Hezbollah, during the obituary for his party member Pascale Sleiman, and seeks to further provoke the confrontation with the Shia terrorist organization in Lebanon. Geagea says: "For those who are now asking what's next? The answer is very simple and clear: "This is the time of danger..., the conflict continues!" He adds: Our conflict continues (against Hizbullah) with all respectable Lebanese who do not want a war every 5-10 years, who do not want to hold a passport of the land of terror and Coptagon (drugs produced by Hezbollah) and so that the assassinations like this do not continue by Pascale Slimane. A few words about the opportunity for Israel implied by the Iranian response that is being talked about, either directly or through its proxies. In order to restore its trampled dignity, Iran will have to initiate an action different in nature from what we have known so far within the framework of the war. The two "more interesting" options from the diverse basket of possible Iranian responses are: 1. Direct firing from Iranian territory into Israeli territory. 2. A significant/high-quality attack by Hezbollah (with the bonus of Iran's additional shipments). In my eyes, each of them holds a golden opportunity for Israel. Each of these options "buys" Israel international legitimacy for a counter-reaction. If Iran chooses one of these two options, Israel will be able to afford in response to initiate an attack on quality targets in Iranian territory or a quality response against Hezbollah. If Israel knows how to choose the right targets in the counter-reaction, it can turn the incident into a turning point. A "noisy" attack on Iranian territory with a clear address without the need for secrecy/concealment gives Israel an opportunity to eliminate several targets in which it has certainly been interested for many years but has avoided doing so. We are not lacking Intelligence. In the Lebanese arena - the exact same thing - an unusual attack by Hezbollah gives Israel legitimacy to attack quality targets from which it is now avoiding (say inside Beirut), while noting that we are at a particularly dramatic time in the Lebanese street that is bubbling over the background of the murder of Pascale Sleiman of the Lebanese Forces party and the elimination of Muhammad Sarour the Shiite who was a liaison between Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas. This is ideal timing for Israel. Israel needs to know how to turn a difficulty into an opportunity. It's definitely within reach. (Abu Ali) |

As much as I appreciate the firm American stand by ISRAEL against a possible attack from Iran, one must remember: The U.S. is not telling Iran NOT to attack but is telling Iran not to cross the line and attack US forces and/assets. The understanding in DC is that an attack can and will come and now all we need to do is to make sure it won’t be “too strong”. I find it funny because Iran is watching the fear from something “strong” and learning that only by obtaining nuclear bombs - then no one will ever stand on her way. So while the world is fretting over a few drones and missiles that we can easily intercept - Iran is working tirelessly to become nuclear. If Israel and America were brave enough to eliminate the Iranian threat once and for all and bring about stability, peace and prosperity to our region - the right thing to do isn’t to wait for Iran to strike but rather to preemptively and forcefully destroy Iran’s 15 most important nuclear sites and send her back 30-40 years to start it all from scratch.
