The Head, Corporate Communications, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Ezeh disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Monday.

This temporary blackout, according to him, is as a result of a total system collapse that occurred in the early hours of the day, at about 2:41am, and which he said, affected transmissions in the five south-eastern states of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo./

We are used to constant power that is why they had to explain. We left you all behind long ago. The useless national grid is our only problem now. Once we get another opportunity we will balkanize it like we did with Distribution and generation

I pray southeast will eventually pull out of EEDC.

This what all discos are required to do by law. That of Southeast will now receive different reactions.
