Rivers State Assembly Rejects Fubara, Approves Law Regarding LG Chairmen by obasanjonews(m): 2:55pm On Apr 22
The political tension in Rivers State continues to escalate, as the Rivers State House of Assembly has once again defied Governor Siminalayi Fubara and successfully passed a significant law in the state.

During the plenary session on Monday, the House overrode the governor's objections and implemented a major amendment to the Rivers State Local Government Law, granting them the authority to extend the tenures of the LGA chairmen. Previously, in March, Governor Fubara had refused to give his consent to the Local Government (Amendment) bill, despite it being passed and forwarded to him by the lawmakers.

However, during Monday's session, the lawmakers arrived at the assembly complex early in the morning, and the topic of discussion was the amendment to the Rivers State Local Government Law.

The bill was presented by the Majority Leader Major Jack, leading to extensive debates among the members of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Ultimately, the lawmakers argued in favor of vetoing the governor, and with a two-thirds majority vote, the House agreed to override the governor's objections and passed the bill into law.

This marks the sixth time that the House of Assembly has defied the governor and enacted laws since the commencement of the political battle in the state.

If he do anyhow , he go collect.
Sim is at tye mercy of Tinubu and Wike o.
If they give approval, fubara will be impeached immediately.
He should trade wisely with those Hluse members o.

By the way he is not ruling the state with budget, this is enough to impeach him

Wake up from your sleep, you think it's easy to impeach him and Wike is just buying time, it's not as easy as you think.
