essentialone: For me, all of these special cases still do not render it advisable to put a minor in a university. A university is more than just a school for the books alone. Its actually a school for life and the social interactions there are just as important. A minor is therefore ill suited for a university in my humble view. Even if he is ten times Einstein. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

There is nothing wrong if a Nigerian graduates from PhD at 18 years old. We too like adult education in this country. No wonder most graduates are very unproductive. Minds already weak and stressed out. Just want to get a 8AM to 6PM job, just to keep their body going... Nothing else. |

2023Blessed: Wow. Well good for you, but I really would not recommend it for all. Uni is about more than just the books and exams. |

Very useless policy. First attempt at 18 and probably end up getting admission at the 2nd or 3rd attempts. Now with all the ASUU wahala, they will end up graduating at the age of 26 or 27 and then proceed to the 1 year compulsory wasteful year. Employers of labour will now place 25 years as maximum entry age limit. This country is indeed a joke 1 Like |

My take is they should go for the exams from 15 and the UTME results should be valid for 5years. That way, a candidate that clocks 18 won't have to wait till he/she clears UTME again. 3 Likes |

CoronaVirusPro: He or She can lose track and forget everything already learnt in school before sitting for UTME. My take is they should go for the exams from 15 and the UTME results should be valid for 5years. That way, a candidate that clocks 18 won't have to wait till he/she clears UTME again. 2 Likes |
