Are we on now saying that the then president is innocent? Why can't he be invited for questioning for the role he play in the saga. Is it a taboo to prosecute a former president in Nigeria? Anyone taking over cannot prosecute the president of previous administration, regardless of party affiliation. There is an agreement to it. That is the reason Buhari never questioned Jonathan. No past president will ever be prosecuted. Perhaps until someone decide to break that agreement, but which is very unlikely, because no president will wish to be questioned once they leave office.

This is so sad to read. What kind of country is this? I remember the overall hardship the naira swap caused on the people of Nigeria at the time and the trauma has not even left majority of the people. Buhari government slaughtered Nigerians in their troves for personal gains.

The youths won’t protest and nobody cares. The present government already started from where the previous one stopped. I’m a Yoruba man.

And I hate the past and present leaders of this country all together. May they never know peace if they have a hand in emboldening the corrupt system haunting the innocent Nigerians and stopping them from enjoying the dividend of the resources our creators provided to all for no consideration.

Many of you on this nairaland are lacking the requisite knowledge on public discussion. How can proving a case be the bases for bail application?

Bail is given or denied base on what the Constitution stipulated for an offense. Only Murder is regarded as unbailable offense.
