Who is this illiterate?, do you know the meaning of Legacy?. Tinubu, Fashola handed back schools to the missions in Lagos, how is that a legacy to them?.
I know you wouldn't read the links, I'm not disappointed because I know it's very hard for people like you to read and assimilate.

It's surprising that some states still have communities without schools that they are establishing schools like new schools in 2024

Sad ooh

South East solved our educationally issue in the 1970s .. That was when most schools where build 1935 to 1970s by 1980s 99.99% of all the schools were Exterblished in every community... I mean every community
Some will not understand it this way.
Let me break it down.
Anambra state has towns.
Each town comprises of communities eg
Soludo town isuofia has 6 villages.
Now, each village has one Anglican and Catholic primary school

My town has 4 secondary schools. Mission owned.
If they need more, one philanthropist will build it, trust me. We love education that much.
Even nwaboi system got to a stage where it become compulsory for nwaboi to reach js3 before going for boi.

My village has 1 secondary school, 2 primary school. And this is 1 out of 7 villages in my town.
Excluding private schools.
And these schools are in topnotch.

If you say you are rich, we need to see your contribution in education. So rich people donate a lot for those schools.
This fuss about building new school is for those that come from places where there is no school building in the first place.
Anambra state has more than enough. All they need is constant maintainance and equipment.
I live outside the country and the schools my kids attend are older than I but we'll maintained school.
Nobody is talking about building new school.
Some are older than my parents.

And Peter Obi didn't build any school oo, imagine if he built school

Some people will get hypertension from this newsπŸ˜‚
He don't need to build school
Anambra state do not need new schools.
For what and to what end?
If new schools are needed, then one philanthropist will build and hand that over to the govt. What anambra state needed is maintainance culture for existing schools snd that is what they are doing.
A professor is currently the governor of anambra state. Do you see him disturbing himself with all these?
There are more pressing things to do than building new school.

I noticed that people that talk about anambra more have never been to anambra state.

How much will building blocks of classrooms cost?
It's even cheaper than building duplexes in the villages which people build and abandon carelessly.

That debate was no existential and anambra people should stop engaging them. It's purely beneath them.

Coming from reno of all people.

You're a fat little illiterate, what's the links talking about that's difficult to understand?. The bishop commended Obi for handing over mission schools back to them, the bishop was happy they got back their properties. The missions had always been advocating the return of their schools to them for so long ago. Tinubu was the first Governor to return mission schools back to them. How is it your legacy when you return people's properties to them?. Do you guys know the meaning of legacy?

This one is here lying to himself, as long as population is increasing, there'd always be a need for new schools.

Obi gave Mission Schools millions of Naira, computers and renovated the buildings, and equipped science facilities.

You are not from the zone and know nothing about Peter Obi's regime yet the antagonistic prowess you are putting forth to discredit his efforts is regrettable, to say the least.

The existing ones should be filled first.
My alma mater has the capacity of filling in more than 2.5k students cos it was started off as a polytechnic before govt changed mind and made it a secondary school
Till I left, 3 massive blocks were empty.
That land can contain more than 6k students and we still have plenty left. Staff quarters and lands for staff to farm are inside the school.
So tell me, why will my town want another school when the ones we have are yet to be filled?
Rest, you have no point.
You do not know better than the governors and his ministry of education crew.

Also, in some schools, blocks can easily be added if there is need for it.
That is how it is done in developed countries.

You're plain ignorant. All mission schools in the country were administered by the church before Government took over the schools, since then, those schools were run by each state government, so how were they dilapidated?. State governments handed back the schools to the owners to reduce government expenditures. so, how is this Obi's legacy?

Indeed common sense is uncommon. The intervention of Peter Obi was of great significance. I grew up in Onitsha and I have first hand information of Obi's intervention. I went to the prestigious Dennis Memorial Grammar School and I have friends from St Charles Old Boys Association, SCOBA and CKC Onitsha. Reports of Peter Obi's policies on education in Ado Girls, QRC, Inland Girls, Modebe, DMGS, etc... are second to none. Labs were refurbished. Dilapidated hostels, facelifted to new structures.

LG councilors do these in schools, LG chairmen do same. what makes it special?. The churches run their schools with church funds and donations, hired teachers and paid their staffs by themselves. Obi should have built a public school and equipped it, then we could be talking about legacy.

There are some public schools located inside tertiary institutions with massive spaces yet more schools are built to ensure accessibility in several other areas. Obiano built schools, OUK commissioned 20 pry and secondary schools today in Ohafia LG.

Yes. South-East do not wait for government to build schools for them. Most schools were built through community effort, in fact every community takes pride to building her own school and developing their area by provision of social amenities and construction of inner roads.
