Zanzibar, Sao tome

Island countries are far better than mainland African ones.
I'm guessing you've visited Zanzibar and/or Sao Tome and Principe?

How was the trip like for you?

Visit Namibia, the country where the desert meets the ocean. One of the most sparsely populated countries in the world with very low crime rates. Kenya and Tanzania are also good tourist choices. South Africa is now a crime infested glorified shithole (thanks to the bantus) and the pyramids of Egypt are overrated (according to tourists).

Congratulations bantus for reclaiming your top spot in Africa while gutter poopers languish in 4th place. More hunger infused japa loading...

He said, ” We have now become the largest economy on the African continent, with Nigeria and Egypt having been up there and having their challenges and now South Africa being the largest economy in the continent. That position in itself attracts more investors, because they see that this is a country that is reforming various processes and it’s a country going somewhere. We have a clear destiny of where we are going as a country and that’s why we are attracting investors.”

The IMF’s World Economic Outlook estimates Nigeria’s gross domestic product at $253 billion based on current prices this year, lagging energy-rich Algeria at $267 billion, Egypt at $348 billion and South Africa at $373 billion.

The bantus are not japagering to Nigeria - the traffic is the other way round in droves. The bantus have restored SA as the biggest economy in Africa - Japageria is languishing in 4th spot. Here's to more hunger, desperate japaration and gutter pooping 👎🏽🇳🇬💩
I apologise if my post appears to mock South Africans - that wasn't my intention. That's why I put "Bantus" in quote. I just found the flippant use of the now controversial word funny. One of the things you said in your bid to diss Nigeria is even true. More grease to your elbow.

Hi, Nairalanders.

Hope your day is going well.

I want to visit a country outside West Africa where I will need a visa to visit from Nigeria. This is mainly for knowledge and tourism purposes.

I wanted to visit South Africa (to see Mandela's house) or Egypt (to tour the Great Pyramids of Giza).

However, I have seen lots of negative reviews from Nigerians who complain that Egypt and South African embassies in Nigeria always delay their visa processing. Whereas they promise to process their visas in weeks, they don't get responses in months.

Please what country would you recommend? I want to know countries I don't have to wait for long to get their decision or those that won't reject my visa application.

Do you still consider South Africa and Egypt good options and why?

Benin republic is the best

I wanted to add o. Racist? Maybe the islands but the rest welcome well. Just the usual banter mode against Nigerians nothing more. If it's their immigration guys, ehen, sure. They always on high alert but not the people.

how does that answer the question: if you say "some of the crime in south africa is from your people", which crimes are those and who commits the other crimes?
So now I must separate crimes and list this crime and that crime and say this crime is committed by that one and this one.. blah blah What does that achieve? The fact of the matter is, we have your criminals in South Africa doing a lot of illegal stuff, hence the negative reputation of Nigerians in SA

This is exactly what irks South Africans the most, we have criminals from Maputo to Kinshasa but we don't do crime in their countries.

you claimed that "some of the crime in south africa is from your people".

the word "some" means a part of a whole. by making such claims you are saying that you crimes that nigerians commit in south africa and those that they dont commit. so kindly educate me on the crimes committed in south africa, those committed by nigerians and those not committed by nigerians.

I don't know what's so difficult to understand here, every country on the planet has its own criminals, and South Africa is no exception! However, SOME of our criminals are from illegal immigrants.I can't make it simpler than this

First off, Rwanda (The capital city and environs).
Second, Mauritius.
Third, Morocco.
Fourth, Kenya.
Fifth, Tanzania (Zanzibar).

However, if you ever decide that you want to visit a West African country for the purpose of tourism, then go to Cote d'Ivoire. Abidjan is a well-planned commercial city with wide boulevards right from the Felix Houphoet-Boigny International Airport to the city centre with the very neat environment. I first visited Cote d'Ivoire in 1988 by air and I instantly fell in love with the country. Abidjan is often referred to as the Paris of Africa.

That's interesting @Grandstar.

In reality, there are many of us OGs still here on NL since 2005. Some of us folks just choose to fly below the radar atimes. I'm actually a GenX. There are "Baby Boomers" here as well. You must have flown to England back in 1983 from Lagos via the iconic British Caledonian and landed in Gatwick Airport which was the main airport hub that British Caledonian used instead of Heathrow Airport.

It's good to relieve those events from time to time to gain perspectives as we head on into the future with "disruptive innovation" in mind.

You're spot on about the airline and airport!

I only spent a week as I had my Command Day secondary school entrance exam coming up.

My older siblings are your generation, born 66/67. They even did their A Levels in British Public schools
