Obi's legacy continues.
Re: FULL LIST: Out-of-school Children Across States In Nigeria (ages 6–15) by Racoon(op):
Check out again. Anambra on the beat again. Peter Obi legacies again.

Peter Obi was on a mission, he was intentional about education in Anambra. He met the state lagging behind at 26th position, he turned it around and took the state to number 1! In the last 15 years, Anambra has remained a regular in the top 5 performing states in education.

Even out of office, he continues to prioritise education. You’d see him celebrating students, investing in schools from his own pocket. There is no living Nigerian politician today that has done as much as he has in education.

A number of schools from Anambra have gone on to represent Nigeria internationally, making the country proud. An example is Regina Pacis Secondary School, Onitsha, they won the prestigious Technovation global Gold Award for 2018 in Silicon Valley, San Francisco. They developed a mobile application, ‘FD Detector’, which can be used to identify fake pharmaceutical products.

Show me a leader that is serious about education, I will show you a leader that means well for his people. As Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Results are out again, here is the report card.
Facts > propaganda.

COMRADES, before you open the thread, you had already knew that the northern states would take the lead
Those people love illiteracy die
They cherish backwardness more than any region in Nigeria

The number is not unexpected in the SE as majority of the kids have left the region serving as nwa boys and running after vehicles in traffick in SW and Northern regions.

Why is the number of out-of-school children lesser in the SE?, it is majorly as a result of child migration from SE to other regions serving their masters and selling at roadsides, these number of kids are added to the numbers of out-of-school children in SW, SS and Northern regions.

You can attack Peter Obi on anything, but doing that on his development strides on education was a stupid move. That man transformed education sector in his state.

This is a very valid point. Just a few days ago they were here defend the Nwa boy system.
We see the boys in the streets selling everything from watches to Gala and everything else. They can't be in school at the same time.

Due to child migration, if you pack all the kids selling in traffic back to SE, SE will jump to number one.

That's why you hear them saying they don't need new schools in the SE because fewer kids are left in schools while majority migrate out of the region, even at that, many of those kids left in school choose to come to SW to continue their tertiary education.

I sometimes wonder if you guys realize the huge number of ibos in Oyo and Ogun states, many of those affected by the banning of street hawkers and roadside selling in Lagos, find their ways to other SW states. I am particular about the region as a whole not only Lagos state.
