My dear, I know you are too foolish like Reno Omokri to understand it's not Bigkoko that accused Cardoso of defending Naira with the loans Bretton Woods Institutions gave Asiwaju. Just like the slowpoke Reno Omokri thought it was HE Peter Obi that said Tanzania has excessive electricity! In case you didn't do Economics in school, market forces determine the rates of FX, not what patch patch CBN gov sells! If Patch patch didn't sell anything and there be inflow of billions of USD from foreigners seeking to import Akwa Ibom veggies, Naira will also immediately rally against the Dollars. I also know you are not smart enough to know that patch patch CBN gov efforts to sell USD at predetermined rate amounts to what Economists call "Rate Fixing" and that's why Bloomberg called Cardoso out! Rate Fixing made the worse performing currency to hit top 5, and that got world Economists searching for the magic Cardoso did, until they found the clueless nigga was simply selling Dollars at it own Fixed rate! Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣. More like a judge in your own Case! The baba wey cook una brain for Asiwaju really try Sha! I believe na Kogi the baba come from! When we tell una say to tief village drum no be problem, na to enjoy am in peace na where wahala dey! Asiwaju should at least return rate to Buhari standard first before we know whether he fit do anything PressMyButton: 1 Like |

PressMyButton: Yes and seriously speaking, that was a mirage. The thing is, we no get dollars in Boku amount, subsidy is still being paid, and we still import a lot of fuel, forex needs are high, and people are going to still hoard dollars. Unless you have a way to earn more dollars for this country, that best performing currency is not sustainable at all. Manufactured goods and services 3 Likes |

PressMyButton: (I am going to have to ask you to forget politics, tinubu vs obi, atiku, for a few minutes). Sure, we are going to have ;some improvement' once all that happens, but naira is not going to go below 900 per dollar unless we are earning more and more dollars. Short term, that means we got to regulate mining, and improve agriculture...especially agric. Less than 20% of our agric is mechanized, and if we want gains from agric, we need large scale mechanized farming. Then we need to really regulate our mining (which means we may have to fight some brutal wars in Zamfara for instance). Long term, we need to be exporting industrial product. Not just refined product...industrial product...because countries with strong currencies do that. Not this oil we are relying on. That's why naira becoming stronger is a mirage. It is the same story whoever takes over. The naira is hooked up to oil prices. Get it off oil, then we have some optimism. Better forget about politics, make I remind you. |
