I expect him to have done that when Tinubu visited him after the primary. He lost the opportunity for reconciliation thinking that Tinubu would die before the election proper.

Don't also forget that even when he was Minister, all his supporters like Chidi Lyoid and other hot guys have been bought over by Wike.

Recall also the removal of Dakuku from NIMASA which was direct from Presidency.

Amaechi is not a politician by Nigeria definition.

Just look at the Chess game Wike is playing in PDAPC. His legs are in the 2 parties and he's still a force to reckon with. You do away with him at your own risk.

Tinubu gave him FCT as a compensation for the confusion he created to reduce Atiku chances in the state. That's what politics is all about.

His biggest weakness is grudge. For good 7 years, apc under him was in turmoil. He couldnt reconcile factions. He was presenting tomato can stooges as apc gov candidates in 2015 and 2023, when he had magnus abe by his side.

In 2015, apc won 2 senate seats in rivers, but amaechi killed all of that shine thru stubborness, that by 2019 the party had no candidate.

Because of his likes, apc lost edo.

In short, whatever he gained in the milestone of apcs 2015 victory he has lost over night.

Amaechi is a politician by every definition, Nigerian or not. If you don't understand politics, keep quiet. There are always realignments for different interests. Even Wike has lost some followers.

Amaechi hasn't told you he has a grudge against Tinubu. He exercised his right as a Nigerian and came second in the APC presidential primary. He has a right to choose not to be in the government.

The only position which is unarguably higher than what Rotimi Amaechi has been is the President of Nigeria.

A man who is already loaded with money like Amaechi may not be motivated to be a Senator.
