Racoon: the truth of the matter is that even if people in the diaspora do not buy into the funds, hedge funds , family offices will buy it. When making money, there is no idealism, it is strictly business, you have to be pragmatic if you wanna make cash. |

helinues:people in charge of the funds are taking their own money they have stolen to London and Dubai to buy real estate but telling the middle class to send their coins the other way where it can be used to support pilgrimage and political patronage generally. I am in the diaspora and would not invest more than $20 in the country. Fraudsters, Genocide enablers, one chance snake oil salespeople, hypocrites, religious zealots, and that is just the government ministers. My guy here, Femi, his parents retired two years ago. They have land in Ogun but decided to buy a place in the Algarve. They said peace of mind is priceless and will do their retirement there. |

Racoon: It's not about diaspora fund. Money can be borrowed from anywhere. The fact that the money came from Nigerians in diaspora doesn't mean it's any better than if it were to be from Eurobond issuance. It's still a debt. The issue is what projects will it be spent on? That needs to be known upfront and the cost associated with each project clearly specified 1 Like |

People just wake up and criticize their country mindlessly just because their candidate or kinsman lost an election. How is this different from any Eurobond? And since it's existence, have you ever heard that Nigeria defaulted on its obligations? I desire quality opposition not all these censorious Dundeez! |
