If anyone from the Niger-Delta comes across the thread, please remember that some of you voted for Peter Obi. Peter Obi has demonstrated he is against the progress of the Niger Delta communities. The bulk of the funds for running our economy comes from the Niger Delta. But he says a big project to criss-cross the Niger Delta is a misplaced priority.

Note that the US spent their way out of recession through the New Deal which focused on massive infrastructural development across board, including roads. There is no nation interested in progress that is currently not engaged in one form of infrastructural development or the other. But the one which is 60 years old overdue in Nigeria, Peter Obi is fighting it, simply because he lost election.

If he didn't build anything meaningful in Anambra, I think it is disingenuous to fight against something being built through the Niger Delta. Thanks to Tinubu's ingenuity, Lagos is undergoing massive infrastructural development and embarking on an audacious railway project which the likes of Rufai Oseni would condemn.

Peter Obi doesn't want the progress for the Niger Delta. He just wants to get the votes and use anti-developmental and archaic ideas to ruin this country completely.

Only vote for those who want progress to be in your land. With this tweet, Peter Obi has shown he is not interested in that.

As for the Landmark CEO who has been all over the place making noise, can he show us documents where the shorelines and beaches in his location were ceded to him? If he violated the right of way, it is evil for him to complain. The best thing to do was to meet and find ways to relocate his business or shift to an area where the coastal highway won't pass. When I travelled through Accra-Cape Coast highway, part of which was adjacent to the ocean, it was a beautiful sight with the blue waters! Guess what? Beaches still functioned!!

Just to add, a road network is also a delight for businesses. Food can easily be transported from rural areas to urban centers and those in rural communities would make good money.

But Peter Obi does not want this.
..... Do u know the meaning of misplace priority!!! .... I doubt cos if u knew ur illiteracy wont be as proud like this!!!..

They problem is that even if this project is abandoned with trillions wasted, nobody will be held accountable, we will just turn the page and move on to another elephant project.

He has a point, the existing federal roads are not being maintained and left to rot, why will this road be any different, no be the same Nigerians still dey the maintenance agency

I'm highly sceptical about this road project because it has every sign of fraud.

Can you should me where this road project will pass through in Rivers State and name the location?

Don't run away if you are not a gbajue like this coastal highway.

They should have started it from Calabar to Bayelsa first so that wherever it stops will be to the gain of the people but It is likely going to start and stop within Lagos

The Agulu packaged fraudster used state money to build a brewery while Anambra was experiencing erosion, no public water, bad roads, and delipidated schools among many other problems. But the idiot thought that investing in Brewery was the best way to spend public funds.

It's a misplaced priority.
Construction of rail way too.

The main focus of the government should be
1. building more refinaries to reduce the price of petroleum since it's obvious that it's the mainstay of our economy and has multiple effect on our economy.
2. Working toward providing constant electricity. The growth of our economy and busnesses depends largly on this.

Any other thing can come after these two is taken care of.

Including security

1: Dangote refinery is enough to handle ALL Nigerias fuel needs once it comes on board. All the other refineries are being rehabilitated.

Its just politics. Obi understands the kind of followers he has...he needs to give them something to rant and rave about every two to three working days.

To the government, I say keep on working. When the fruit is ripe everyone will see it.

What do u expect for a clueless governor who claimed to leave money in the state account while the same state was infrastructurally backwards, that is the idea definition of cluelessness! Little wonder he is condemning development. Nigeria really escaped a terrible bullet!

PO is right on this one, the money could be used for massive investments in agriculture. It's not bad if the FG invest massively in rice production and milling across the Federation and the money can revive ajo okuta steel or be used to start a modular refinery. The coastal road is off no use to the masses as we speak undecided

No infrastructure is misplaced but not mitigating losses or at least pursuing a win win outcome with the affected land/ business owners......

That is investment and future taxes down the drain and investors ( future and foreign) may read into it.
