I like reading Peter Obi’s comments, but this one on the coastal road is off key. While I sympathise with those affected.... The properties that were demolished, were they built on an approved plan and boundary? Did they chart the land before investing? You can't build on a RoW and start complaining about the execution of the Law. Mr President might not be the number one choice of some, but this project is laudable and comes with lots of merit. |

emkz: Look at this big fool, you think we don't know the real reason behind the coastal road is to have more access to crude oil. The road is a non essential project we don't need it. Take care of existing dilapidated roads, food inflation is killing us, insecurity everywhere yet your useless druggie is running propaganda up and down about non-existent $600m investment disgracing the country everywhere. Fucking neanderthals |

Imagine if this road is West -East roads Igbo will praise Tinubu to the call though some will still hate but because na south south not southeast they're threatened I pity any south southerners that joined this retrogressive tribe to abuse Tinubu on this project, Northerners won't even criticize any roads done in their land, what was the railway of Niger to Nigeria benefit if not for Influx of terrorism yet Northerners didn't protest against it South south that provide 70-75% of Nigeria revenues should not enjoy the infrastructure benefit because is misplace priorities. Some people are just mad Did Atiku protest or made a statement against Niger- Nigeria railway? The answer is no but this big head hypocrite obi is here supporting northerners to question development in southern Nigeria when the foool no do any roads in anambra I blame those fooools hyping the Incompetent iidiot 3 Likes 1 Share |

emkz:That's why people like you keep making same.mistakes thatbhave kept us in this mess since 1960. So.we have to wait for Tinubu to make his own mistakes? 1. How.much is the total budget allocation per annum for road construction? 2. Where will the fund come from to finish the project. 3. Do you know how many years it takes the government to repair a simple expressway? Eg Lagos Ibadan, Onitsha Enugu? Averages almost 20yrs 4. If it is to be financed by the construction company and tolled, have they done similar projects before? 5. When did they bid for this project, who else competed, how did you arrive at the choice of the company? 6. Same company that could.not finish Lagos Epe expressway for almost 20years? I know critical thinking is not cheap that's why there are too many poor people in the country. Continue to repeat history. You want a fanciful road, that's why there are too many fanciful white elephant projects everywhere in the country with zero economic benefit In your mind you are the only one that visited other countries? You are just a poor thinker looking for fanciful projects you can't afford at the expense of scarce resources. |

socialmediaman: You think I'd be senseless to disclose my identity here? I am from the Niger Delta. I have visited Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, and Rivers State. I know more about the East West Road than some lousy lousers talking absolute crap about it. I can say work is ongoing on that road. It was NDDC that messed up that road. I wish the Ministry of Works take it over. As for calling me the selfproclaimed spokesperson of the Niger Delta and spokesperson of Peter Obi's borehole in the north, that was a lame attempt by you to be an idiot. Look, our Niger Delta elders like Chief Edwin Clarke, have praised the project. James Iboei has lauded the president. We hope Niger Delta leaders and traditional rulers visit the president to register their support for the project. Anyone who condemns the project shall be branded an enemy of the Niger Delta and an enemy of progress and national cohesion. |

emkz: You are a big fool. The East West Road he called for its rehabilitation is in your fathers parlour not in Niger Delta. Why wasting money to build a new road which will not be completed when there are several roads to be rehabilitated across the nation. Common sense is indeed not common. The Niger delta people already knows their true enemy. The person that allowed soldiers kill them, arrested and humiliated their monarch, chased them out of their houses and burnt their houses. As for landmark, there was an original design of that road which they followed before building structures, following the initial design saves a whole lot of cost as people already followed it, why did govt all of a sudden changed the design thus embarking on several avoidable demolitions. |

emkz: Dear Mr self proclaimed spokesperson of the Niger Delta and Northern Nigeria when PO is helping communities with boreholes, We know what you and your fellows did to defend Buhari for 8 years while he was ruining the country, and what you're now doing to defend Tinubu while his policies are causing more hardship and suffering, so what's the big deal with disclosing a fake identity? Peter Obi cares about the interests of people from the region, his wife is from the same region. He has deep rooted love and support from Edo, Rivers and all over Niger Delta, so what are you talking about? Do what you have to do. We know its tought being a Tinubu supporter at this time so one can do anything out of desperation. Defend your Tinubu and leave this matter you're dragging abeg 1 Like |

Nightwolf1: My broda, me I know understand the environmental, economic and logical sense of building a mega highway all along the Nigerian coast in these global warming or is it climate change era. It just does not make an iota of sense to me. Roads that will be washed into the ocean within 50 years, might even be sooner. You think the people that built the Lagos-Ibadan expressway were stupid to build the expressway far inland. |

Re: Peter Obi Vehemently Condemns Lagos-Calabar Highway As A Misplaced Priority by Macphenson: 5:50pm On Apr 30 |
michylabo: Please before making statements on a public forum try and get your facts right. There was an initial design for that road, landmark and other people followed and observed that design. All of a sudden, they brought out this new design when people have already followed their initial design. I saw the 3d of both designs. Interestingly, the initial design is better as there will be no house to demolish thus saving government huge sums of money. Besides there is no tangible reason given for the current design with the associated cost on state coffers. |
