While going home this evening from my work facility, I saw about 4 corpers, 3 guys and a girl trekking under the hot sun.

I had to stop and ask them why they're trekking under the scorching sun, they replied that they're coming back from their CDS. That they normally take 400 to and fro, but the fare has increased to 600 and they were trekking to shorten the distance. I really felt pity for them and gave them a lift to the nearest junction to their lodge.

I began to ask them what about the allowance they receive, that have they finished it already. One of the boys replied, sir the allowance doesn't even last for 2weeks. That the 33k can even finish if they enter the market to buy food items the way they're supposed to buy. I really felt bad and wondered why will the government be punishing peoples children in the name of NYSC, yet can even consider their welfare and adding something to their allowance atleast.
