No matter how someone wants to colour Tinubu's failure, at least the blind can see what is happening, the deaf heard, etc. Tinubu is practically following the footsteps of Buhari whom after destroying everything that would have helped the economy now went to be pressing CBN like remote in order to do magic in the economy. I heard they're now going after MFBs like Opay, Moniepoint, etc. under the guise of crypto fraud, where as we all know that these companies have collected almost all the customers from local banks. Why not ask them to strengthen their policies instead of barring them from receiving new customers. All in the name of appreciating naira against dollar. Which serious economy fights its own serious tax paying businesses to strengthen its currency value? Rather than release more grants to SMEs in order to boost local production this APC government right from Buhari's tenure is looking for a way to use CBN policies to as a magic wand to perform a trick that doesn't exist. No Op, in fact the opposite. I believe they are also facing this harsh economy with the rest of us. BUT Sincerely, they may be seeing what the rest of us are not seeing. You know sometimes, it is wise to see things from a different perspective. It really doesn't make them stupid, it only means that we are not all a mob of rabid, emotional, one-wayed sheepish zombies. Now, For example OP, - Many of them may just be these optimists dem , 'oversabi' enough to understand that hating a siting president will neither make the situation better nor abruptly pluck him out of the seat e.g afterall Jubrin Al-Sudan, Rochas Okorohausa had their full 8 years Perhaps also, they may have managed somehow, to decode that most of those who totally castigate the president did not just develop such attitude after the inauguration, many had even (mis)FORETOLD he would die before inauguration. So if the president had performed much better, they would still find cause to hate him due to their common identity. U know na, due - inordinate ethnic obsession. Or possibly also, they have been able to peep into the anticidents of other eminent critics and actors and saw that Tunubu's anticidents spoke of more enduring deliverables than the others - Like Lastma, Eko Atlantic, LCDA etc So OP my dear, once in a while, why not let's peep beyond our horizon. It may be that a so called Bad Leader of today, somehow somehow will be discovered to have meant well all the while. Afterall, the man who has suddenly become our HERO today was cursed, pelted with stones, ran to Lagos from Anambra stater after his tenure because of the very terrible policies he is doing all his best to reimplement if he had the slightest chance into Aso Rock |
