raumdeuter: ![]() .....we all know what we are typing. LOL! Dem never wish for any good comes for PBAT Administration hence do cry bitterly if they see something good is coming from this Administration. They bullied a whole Adult, a successful man until he apologized - for praying for Nigeria to succeed under this Administration. They did try to bully Kingsley Moghalu too, but it ain't working for NOW. LOL!

User09: ![]() ......ignore their Noise bro, that's what they've got to offer for the next 8yrs. On the funding structure, Mr Umahi said the project is not a PPP but rather an Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC+) structure, which means that the federal government must produce counterpart funding. You can watch below clip for further breakdown of the project. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL3ZQ5CpNulQkYsHERXbh4VeOHDq3Bs0mF&si=RAiWd77Ap34T-b7F |

![]() .....they forget there is a new Sherriff in town. When Fashola shutdown 3MB for repair under last Administration, nothing significant was achieved like what Umahi does to the Bridge within 6 Months under present Administration. Wike is turning Abuja to Abu Dhabi gradually. Constructions left and right like it was last witnessed when El Rufai was FCT Minister. This Administration can do it, and it will do it |

OasisX:Answer my question on the bidding process. Also the reason why I am a bit hesitant to criticize the govt so much on this is cos its a private entity that is funding a majority portion of this expense The general consensus in the emerging markets investment community is that there are not that many bankable projects so if there's one that allows them to deploy. Why not?. You cant force private investors to invest in other things/sectors/areas. They must have been convinced that there's enough ROI there before deploying their capital. As long as there's growth potential and economic viablity, so be it. But lets scrutinize the terms of the contract/agreement oo...Cos P&ID is still a recent memory |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by OasisX: 5:52pm On May 02, 2024 |
User09:......Umahi has addressed it many times. Below is extracted from a major news source; The minister of works, David Umahi has cleared the air on the funding and bidding process of the Lagos-Calabar highway, stating that the project is not under private-public partnership process but under an EPC plus F project which requires the Federal Government of Nigeria to pay a negotiated counterpart fund. |

OasisX:Oh...I see. In other words, they were the (only) ones that submitted the proposal/proposition. |

User09:......and ready to do fund the project. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 6:03pm On May 02, 2024 |
User09:Anyway, back to this and the bolded cos its a major risk and its really important that we are told. Cos I once read somewhere that the Lagos state government had to pay off the owners of the Lekki toll gate post End Sars. Imagine a similar agreement/scenario here. Such huge liability. Maybe that's even be the (planned) payoff for these guys. Oasisx, tell your guys to give full info/disclosure so there may be small confidence |

OasisX:They need to actually release alot of information about the project because if truly the project didnt pass through any competitive bidding process then the project is in breach of the standard procurement procedure which will make it illegal. |

raumdeuter:Government should be giving more attention to the self induced suffering it brought on Nigerians. This government brought pain and suffering. Apart from the fact that it is not a priority, the whole contract deal is shrouded in corruption and favouritism. |

raumdeuter:I agree that the students have a limited right to protest (because the 1st amendment does not apply to private institutions such as Columbia, Stanford etc). But obviously, those students do not have the effrontery and right to be dragging campus police officers or unnecessarily disrupting the general business of their schools. Thats where I am with the school authorities in their efforts to quash the violent protests |

izzou:I am trying to understand why a dubai firm would be buying oil from another country, when their own nation has massive oil reserves. Add to that dubai is a wealthy Arab Muslim country entering into a deal with poor infidel niggers who split from a Muslim country that is now in turmoil. I am wondering what their actual angle is in all this |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 7:32pm On May 02, 2024 |
GloriousGbola:I think the deal is cheap and they had the money to throw around. You drive a Hilux and Highlander, and you see a broke guy selling his Tokunboh corolla for 1.8 million. You don't need it, but its a good deal. |

izzou:Criminal African leaders who think about themselves only! Make no mistake about this, this is a lopsided deal and everyone involved knows this but because there no transparency and African leaders are criminal, they don't mind. That $13B is gone with this regime, South Sudan don't generate enough to pay this gbese. Whatever happens to oil prices, South Sudan will suffer during the period and even after. Are they struggling to sell their oil? $10 less per barrel looks small until you realize between now and 20 years, oil prices will fluctuate significantly. |
