This IPOB Fij is so despicable!
When you compare statistics, why put Lagos which is a State in Nigeria alongside countries like South Africa, Egypt and the rest. Your comparative basis ought to be Johannesburg, Cairo, Kumasi, Pretoria, Nairobi etc.
Typical Obi supporters and IPOB who are terminally sworn to yoruba hatred would lap up this shit from Fij without crosschecking.

It beats my imagination why a particular people can just exist for the sole aim of beating their dry chests to make them feel better, even when hunger is removing their wrapper from their waist.

Lagos is not better than any state in Nigeria, no better roads, no better electricity, no better business climate, no better quality of living or security, but some people exist in this world by hyping the city, even to the point of telling bare faced lies to make them sleep better at night.

Online, everyone who is from there who are ashamed of their states will claim Lagos, because of the online hype, the lies and the vain attempts to rub it in everyone's face that the place is better.

The commissioner did what every other person from there does, BOAST ON EMPTY STOMACH.

I sincerely doubt Lagos GDP being ₦41trn. Last time I checked , Lagos was 30% of Nigeria GDP which in 2024 is $253bn so Lagos should be around $75bn in GDP. Nevertheless, government should try and take/keep & update records and statistics properly.

The miscreants from your tribe living under Lagos bridge would soon reconnect back with you in your miserable 5 plots of land. I often wonder why your tribe and under bridge are 5 and 6. Remember Clifford Orji?

Back to the statistics, is Lagos and other countries the same when we talk about sample for comparisons?

They should wait till when Nigeria properly rebase the economy again.

Wikipedia put the GDP of Lagos for 2024 at $84billion , while Ghana is $75billion and Angola is $70billion

"Economically, Lagos State is one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the world. It contains the most populous city in Nigeria and one of the most important states in the country, a major financial centre and has one of the largest economies in Africa[28] with a gross domestic product of $84 billion comparable with Ghana's $75 billion, Angola's $70 billion, and Ethiopia's $93 billion."[2

Over 90% of the information coming from Tinubu and those around him have proven to be fake news. In life, reputation and honesty is vital, APC, both those in Abuja and the ones in Lagos, controlled by Yorubas are now taking dishonesty to brazen and shocking heights.

Can someone tell me the things Tinubu or those around him said that didn’t turn out to be barefaced lies?

Subsidy is gone, yet he is paying more subsidy than all other previous governments and still fuel is most expensive and unavailable!

Dubai has reversed ban on Nigerians, yet it turned out to be lies!

Maersk is bringing $600 million dollars worth of investments, it turned out to be lies!

How can these people be running a government controlled by Yorubas purely on lies??

These people are bringing so much disgrace to the corporate image of Nigeria. Spit!

You’re obviously not bright and most of you from that side of Nigeria are always myopic in reasoning.

Now, ask yourself, how much value has the naira lost since the drug lord floated it?

What made Nigeria’s economy to crash from 1st to 4th? And you think what made Nigeria’s economy to crash (naira devaluation) did not affect Lagos too? Lagos had to magically increase its GDP so massively despite the crash of naira?

When they always parrot that like economy is the 7th largest in Africa (as if it’s an independent state), why don’t they factor the GDP of other greater African cities like Cairo, Johannesburg etc? Or you guys in your local champion mentality think Lagos has bigger GDP than Cairo and Johannesburg? I LOL at you guys ignorance 😂😂

I have never seen nor heard local administrators in Cairo, Johannesburg etc parroting that their cities have the biggest GDP’s in Africa. What’s the point since they know they’re not independent states? Both those in Lagos, due to narcissism and myopic reasoning keep regurgitating how Lagos is the biggest this or largest that.

You all need to grow up from all these primitivity.

To be fair, while this rebuttal is listing names of other countries with GDP higher than Lagos, they forgot that Lagos is just a state not country.

The people who made the claim in the first place did not remember that they were comparing Lagos to countries in Africa and not cities?
