What's the difference between ipob terrorists and ohaneze??

Most they be acting drama in public?

Yeah just like there is no difference Boko haram and Arewa group and Afenifere and Yoruba nation soldiers that attempted to overthrow government in Ibadan last week.

No problem make them go apoligise.

then whn they come back they will explain to us whne south-south became igbos!

After explaining to us reason for their apologies then we will skin all of them alive and hang their skins on River Niger Bridge to dry for 6 years!

We suffered heavy causalities of more that 3 million deaths of igbo sons, duaghter and children for what doesnt concern us in any way!

The son of south-south killed tafawa belewa and the igbos suffered for it!

Apologising about the January 1966 coup?

Nigeria put on its 20 Naira note a notorious coup plotter called Murtala Mohammed

Nigeria elected another notorious coup plotter called Muhammadu Buhari, as President

Another coup plotter called Obasanjo was elected President

Nigeria has honoured a renowned coup plotter called Babangida severally

So after the Nigerian state has honoured many coup plotters from the North, you want Igbos to apologise about which voup

Have the July 1966 Northern coup merchants and their vestigial surviving members ever apologised for the 1983, 1985, and 1993 coups incursion that have further bastardized this nation?

Why are the January 1966 boy the only ones being demonised when any military coup is an illegality. It simply means your political correctness military or otherwise depend of which section of the country you belong to. Too bad. Meanwhile,
Do you know the meaning of "nation"? Some of you just open mouth and talk to showcase your illiteracy. Your nigeria and "nation" in one sentence?

Whether you apologize or not, the truth is that the Igbos started the political crisis they are facing up till this day
Illiterate, go and read about what actually caused the coup to happen. Stop being lazy and going about spreading lies. Your people, the yorubas (violence that led to operation wetie) and those in Benue were about to be obliterated by the fulanis led by the blood thirsty ahmadu bello and the coup happened to stop it.

This ohaneze ndigbo president is not sound . When you know it is a military affair you don't need to bring it up. One may assume you are indirectly justifying the coup

You are 100% correct, the way Igbos dey fall hand for politics need to be studied..............even Peter Obi is not a very good politician though he is a very good manager of resources!

ohaneze is a wayward body..filled to the brim with political contractors! A body that has failed to protect Ndigbo proactively!

The following civil war was also strictly a military affair.

It was not. It was a result of the false narratives peddled by your cowardly parents and grandparents, in whose disgraceful footsteps you carry forth.

These very falsehoods facilitated the ensuing pogrom that created the need for the Igbo to return to their region to save their lives, leaving them with no viable option but to declare the independent nation of Biafra.

It was my grandparents who circulated pictures of murdered Sardauna with Nzeogwu standing over him?
The northerners who were almost indifferent initially became enraged and started attacking you.
My grandparents did all that?
You still don't have any idea the source of your problems.

Post the picture you refer to here as proof. Second, Nzeogwu is a soldier. The January 1966 coup is a military coup, so it has no ethnic undertone. I guess we are to assume that Ademulegun is also Igbo, or was somehow coerced into the plot by his “evil” Igbos fellow soldiers?.

It's time for the Yoruba to begin to own up to their role in Operation Wet ẹ and its deterioration into the events of the 1966 coup d'état

All these happened in 1966 not in 1866. You are free to believe whatever nonsense you choose to believe.

An apology does not need a plan, you either say it or you don't mean it. This group just wants attention using the coup as bait.

Igbos started all the problems we have today.

It was Igbo officers who in 1966 went around shooting democratically elected leaders in their homes across the nation, while sparing the lives of Igbo leaders.

I have no idea how they thought they could get away with it.

They really took Nigerians for granted.

They were truly barbaric in their actions.

Imagine storming the residence of the elected Prime Minister and shooting him dead.

For what?

If you had a problem with them, why not arrest them and put them on trial?

Just cold, barbaric idiots driven by tribalism and hate.

Those 1966 Igbo coup plotters were just demons in human skin.

If they had not done what they did, Nigeria would have been like South Korea by now.

Nnamdi Azikiwe who was president conveniently left Nigeria saying he was going on a medical trip even when Nigeria was scheduled to host the commonwealth heads of government meeting.
Most believe he was tipped off. He didn't return to Nigeria until the coup was done and dusted.
The most amazing thing to me personally is that he didn't inform his Prime Minister, he left him to his fate.
Talk of treachery.

No Plan To Apologise Over 1966 Military Coup – Ohanaeze Ndigbo

President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu has said the Pan-Igbo group has no intention to apologise for the 1966 coup as it was a strictly military affair.

Iwuanyanwu made the assertion at the weekend in Owerri, the Imo state capital while addressing newsmen.

The leader of the Igbo apex group denied claims made by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) that Ohanaeze Ndigbo was planning a trip to Sokoto State to apologise to the North over the 1966 military coup.

“We can’t go to beg anybody. Igbos were killed in that coup. As far as Ohanaeze Ndigbo is concerned, Igbos did not have any affair with the 1966 coup. It was purely a military affair.

“It’s not true, it’s fake news. The man that even carried the fake news has apologised. What happened was that we had a retreat at Enugu. Nobody talked about it. The only thing we did was to appoint a peace and reconciliatory committee because we want peace for our people in Lagos and everywhere else.

“First of all, Igbo didn’t carry out any coup. People who were killed were not killed by Ndigbo; they were killed by soldiers. Igbos didn’t kill anybody. The coup was carried out by soldiers. It was purely a military affair, nothing to do with the Igbo. We have no reason to apologise to anybody. Ohanaeze Ndigbo objects.

The truth remains Igbo can't rule Nigeria, apologies or not.

See when some of you just say rubbish and lies that have been passed to you from generation to generation I just laugh.

The second highest post election violence that ever happened in Nigeria was in 2011 where over 800 people were killed when Buhari supporters didn't accept the result of the election.

The highest one was in the 60's in the SW. Where houses of political opponents were set ablaze even with people living in there.

The North together with Akintola,Awo's former vice nearly set the SW on fire. Awolowo was jailed and it was arson and mayhem every now and then.

These and many more led to the coup lead by soldiers from the SOUTH. Note. SOUTH

The leaders of the coup

Major Kaduna Nzegwuo was Delta not Igbo

Major Adewale Ademoyega. Yoruba from Ogun state

Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna was Igbo

The coup was successful in the North, successful in Ibadan, failed in Lagos which was actually stopped by Ironsi an Igbo Man. Failed in the SE as Azikiwe was abroad when the coup took place

Awolowo too was in prison so those too were not killed because they were not available.

I have read "Why we struck" By Major Adewale Ademoyega. One of the three major participants of the coup who is a Yoruba Man.

They wanted to truly change the course of Nigeria as they have discovered the Northern imposition of power on Nigeria and they wanted an equal Nation for all not the current nonesense we currently have

No, Ademulegun was not igbo. He was yoruba and was killed by an Igbo man, by the name, Timothy Onwuatuegwu.

What led to Operation wetie?
