Traditionalista account for at least 10% of the population in Nigeria. I know certain regions and places where neither Christianity nor Islam is practiced. Each house has it's shrine. There are more Muslims than Christians in Nigeria.

Assuming that your statistics is correct, how come that there is always a high propensity for the emergence of a Muslim as the Nigerian President during the presidential elections.
During the 2023 presidential elections, in spite of the fact that there were three prominent Muslim presidential candidates, namely Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar and Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso sharing the votes of the 48% of the Nigerian population, Peter Obi could not win and came a distant third, even with the large chunk of the supposedly 51% Christian majority.

That's because tribe and ethnicity always divided the Christian vote. Yoruba Christians voted for Tinubu, while the Middle Belt Christian vote was divided as well. The only exception was in 2011 when GEJ was running against Buhari.

The Pew Research you quoted is from 2015. Don't you have anything more recent?
Population demographics don't remain static for 10 years.

In 2011, election results were largely written in one room, there were no technological devices like card readers, IREV, etc. It’s not a credible example to be cited.
Since 2015, if you observe the pattern of voting in Nigeria, you will notice that the total votes of one state in the core Muslim dominated north, covers at least about three states in the Christian dominated south.
Except rotation of Nigerian Presidency is peacefully negotiated, it may not be possible to have a non-Muslim President in the near future.

Yorubas don't put religion in front before tribe, that's why they are the most religiously tolerant tribe in the world, when they gather its Yoruba first. I am not Yoruba by the way

Tinubu is first a Yoruba man before being a Muslim. Yorubas put ethnicity above religion.

Because pf Fulani political hegemony in Nigeria. The Fulanis are a minority tribe but they dominate politics in Nigeria that is what is giving Muslims advantage in Nigeria politics. All the civilian presidents from the north are Fulanis. It is not because muslim population.
When muslim north was voting Buhari he did not win with muslim votes only.

This op is a trouble maker because you know a lot of Nigerians don’t read before jumping to conclusions.
Why didn’t you tell us that the survey was in the year 2012?
Why didn’t you state the total population of Nigerians then and other religion populations at this same time?
