Bolt is confused.
They're trying to satisfy riders by fixing the price for them, whereas, it's not favouring drivers who are the 'soul' of the business. grin
Indrive is giving bolt sleepless night and imagine someone suffering from insomnia for 3 days wey dey try to solve physics, shey him no go work down rubbish like this?

Much respect, sir.
That fixed price will cause serious issue for bolt, they need to revert back to their old pricing method or else, nah problem e go cause.

Imagine some riders that will ask you to end ride half way of the journey.

They better stick to their old pricing method..

Your constant negativity is really grating. Just because you've convinced yourself that you're unable to complete a project doesn't mean others feel the same way. Everyone has their own strengths and mindset, so don't project your limitations onto others. When making a point, keep it personal instead of making sweeping generalizations.

Still weighing some couple of options.
Things are expensive now and all those home appliances are seriously affected. Prices have skyrocketed lipsrsealed and this has been making some people hopping onto toks (which I don't deal in).
Na only few peeps dey buy brand new outright (which is my own deal gangan).
So, I opted for easy-buy format (pay small small).
They pay a % for an item, I sort the balance and their repayment period na 3 months, and I have got 3 people already.
I want to see the outcome first. Still test-running it.
I still dey the rudimentary stage. You know, they say a forest starts from grass. I've not got the ground yet, but definitely, will be moving.
But I've noted your proposal, sir.
One of them below.

Much respect, boss.

I just remember something now.
On Friday, those stupid danfo drivers were doing park-and-pick @sandfill bus stop for VI, obstructing people from driving past the traffic lights and causing jam, na so one man wind down his Jeep beside one dafo and stoned the driver with sachet water in his face. grin
Omoh, I happy die. 😁

False sir. There are jobs depending on your qualifications. Baba, trust me, there are ways to go about these things so that you can fit in again, if you have been in the corporate system before.
I have been in the job market for years and I can tell you what is obtainable from experience.

When I say there are no jobs. I mean jobs for people in my age not MT.
It's based on connection and referrals.

I've passed recruitment stages from test till I met with CEO and I didn't get it because I'm Igbo.
I've passed recruitment stages from test till names were sent to FCC. Checked from commissioner representing my state and name still intact till it got to the department/agency and it was shortchanged.
I've passed NNPC test and went to Abuja for interview and I heard nothing again since 2011.

I was the highest in a recruitment test at p/h(travelled from lag to p/h) On the day of the interview, they gave a particular guy so much respect and audience. They even gave him tea and they never offered me anything. They didn't ask me more than 2 questions and they told me to go. In fact they hurriedly interviewed me. I scored 74% and the guy got 52%. We discussed it when we sat together.

Another one in Lagos. I was the first to come for the interview but they attended to the guy that came after me and he was asked to go for medicals even before I was interviewed. I made the interviewers understand what they did. One was trying to defend it and the other apologised.

I passed test(2 times) and interview for Abinbev. I was even called for medicals but I didn't get the job at the end. I was replaced.

Bro, I can go on and on and on and on. I have so many experience. When I tell you there's no other way aside connection and referrals, trust me, I know what I'm saying.

I have worked with construction/building/haulage companies and production/chemical companies for 8/9 years all together.

Oh! Thank God for this last paragraph, because I would have given up as well. We are going somewhere. Kindly answer these 3 questions in order to conclude if we need to establish correspondence:
1. What exactly is/was your expertise presently or in those 8-9 years?
2. Do you still have flair for reading in case there might be need to upgrade professionally (NOT university upgrade o)?
3. Are you willing to give 9-5 a chance again?

Note: I have factored your age, in terms of opportunities. That should not be an issue provided the answers will gel.

*Lagos Declaration: Ensuring the Social Rights of App-Based Transporters and Improving Welfare Conditions*

This declaration aims to address the regulation and restoration of the app-based transportation industry. App companies are required to submit to relevant authorities, including the government and the union - AUATON, to ensure adherence to global best practices. The goal is to prioritize the best interests of drivers across Nigeria and other Sub-Saharan African nations, restoring the industry's former glory and establishing mutual benefits.

Additionally, this declaration emphasizes the importance of fair pricing and income for app-based transportation services. It calls for fare prices to be adjusted to reflect the current economic reality, taking into account the rising costs of fuel, car maintenance, and vehicles spare parts. The existing income from ehailing services is often insufficient to cover basic needs, such as transportation and feeding one's family. Hence, a fair pricing structure is essential to improve the financial well-being of drivers.

Moreover, this declaration highlights the need for collaboration and cooperation between app companies and drivers. It emphasizes that drivers are vital partners in the business and that both parties rely on each other's contributions. By fostering a cooperative environment, all stakeholders can benefit from mutual cooperation and shared success.

Safety, security, and life insurance are also critical aspects addressed in this declaration. App companies are called upon to ensure the safety of drivers by implementing comprehensive driver and rider profiling. This will help prevent incidents of theft and harm caused by unscrupulous individuals who exploit the platform. Furthermore, the declaration demands justice for drivers who have lost their lives or had their vehicles stolen while providing services. App companies are urged to provide adequate life and health insurance coverage for drivers.

Furthermore, this declaration advocates for the availability of decent and affordable cars for app-based transportation services. Ideally, the government should invest in the industry, provide cars, and offer direct employment opportunities for drivers. This approach aligns with the practices observed worldwide and would contribute to the growth and stability of the industry.

Fair commission rates are another crucial aspect addressed in this declaration. App companies are urged to establish a fair commission structure, ranging between 5% and 10%. Currently, drivers bear a substantial burden, with commission rates as high as 20% to 30%, even with low fare prices. This disproportionately affects drivers' income, leaving them financially worse off. A fair commission system is necessary to rectify this imbalance and ensure a sustainable and equitable partnership.

Unity and power play a pivotal role in this declaration. Drivers are encouraged to unite and stand together, as a united front is harder to defeat. App companies are urged to recognize the importance of aligning with the drivers and treating them as valued partners. By fostering unity and cooperation, both drivers and app companies can thrive.

Finally, this declaration calls for financial stability for drivers. It emphasizes the importance of collective action and encourages drivers to rally on:

*Wednesday, 8th May 2024*
*Time: 9am prompt*
*Meeting point: Fela shrine alausa ikeja Lagos.*

aiming to achieve financial stability for drivers in the industry.

Picked a lady inside a jeep at iponri mosque. She was going to lekki. App showed 7600. Immediately we got to Eko bridge, she said she's not going to lekki again that she wants to go to iyana ipaja. I told her I don't go to such places. She pleaded but I declined. Then she said I should drop her where she can order another ride. I dropped her at apongbon. She changed her mind immediately and told me to take her back to iponri mosque.
Got to iponri mosque, ended trip and it showed 7600. She shouted; 'how come'? I said; Madam, your money is 7600. She started begging me. I later collected 7k
