From 2015 - 2023 these people used media propaganda to tell Nigerians that the suffering they were going through, was the normal process of enduring before you get to the promised land

After 2023 was over, we all discovered they were lying the whole time. Who was the grand daddy of the deception? The person running the new government

Whenever this government tells you that they’re doing something for your benefit? Don’t listen to them, they’re a bunch of frauds

Why should he not believe that? What normal people host in their heart always, as confirmation they remain decent and undamaged, is hope and optimism in the future regardless of what has happened in the past.

That is what motivated the famous saying “while there is life there is hope”.

It is you who is aberrant and damaged for always been pessimistic, negative and expecting/praying to see the worst.

Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road: Leave the talk, Let's face the business by Olusegun Dada.

https://medium.com/@DOlusegun/lagos-calabar-coastal-road-leave-the-talk-lets-face-the-business-8cd94796ca00

Olusegun Dada is Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media
The writer made some huge errors in his write-up but that's understandable since he's a paid apologist for the govt.
1. The project was initially BOOT and was modified to EPC+ when it became apparent that the contractor was having issues with securing funding for the project. The total distance to be sponsored by the FG in this first phase is expected to reach Ogun state.

2. The cost of N15.6trn for the project is for the road component only. The rail component is still unknown according to the minister. This speaks volume as to the shoddy and shady manner the contract is being handled. How did BPE, ministerial tenders board and FEC approve a project with an unknown total cost? It sounds strange cause quotation is an important element in civil engineering and contracts. If the total cost is unknown, how can the project viability and feasibility be justified? It's a landmine that needs to be avoided. A project with no total cost is like a bottomless pit.

3. While the writer gave a good historical background for the road, it is instructive that up till now, no one is fully certain on the proposed route. The writer claims the route being followed is the 2010 route while there's another who claims the 1955 route is the one being followed. This is another flaw in the project planning. If the route is not known, how can EIA be procured? How will communities and businesses to be affected get to know and make plans to mitigate the effect the roads will have on them? Tourist business along that route are already counting their loss. Multichoice has also announced potential disruption to its services. Who is next? No one knows cause the route is unknown.

4. The biggest issue with the road is the fact that the two existing roads to the south south hinterland from Lagos are in bad shape. The Benin-Sapele-PH and Benin-Asaba-Owerrri-PH are very bad. The East-West road which co-joins the two is not in good shape either. With Nigerian govts penchant for abandoned project, one fears the possibility of such occurring here after all the fuss and cry. One point the supporters of this project especially the bigoted ones reference is the Kano-Maradi rail line which is actually looking abandoned as work has slowed since Buhari left office and more attention is being paid elsewhere. It will be a tragedy if this project also suffers same fate.

5. All the talk of job creation is hype. The job is being executed by a single contractor which means the project is not expansionary so how exactly will jobs be created at the scale being claimed?

Lastly, what is required is not a resort to media hyping or gaslighting but more clarity, accountability and transparency for the project. No project is inherently bad. It is the thinking and focus of the executioners that kill or make projects.

Din't mind them. That's how they lied to us with propaganda that Buhari was not cloned. Something that we ipob devotees got from our intelligence headquarters and that we could clearly see grin

DMerciful:
They're using propaganda to build a phantom coastal highway of fraud. This coastal highway will not go beyond Ogun State before Tinubu is booted out.

There is no planned route after Lagos

The cost of a 700km road is more than the net worth of the Richest African in the world.

Hahahah.

Bro, but it is stated that " it's design finalization and approval is still pending and also FEC and BPE need to approve it too".

Finally bro, the project is a good one but because of the current economic situation in Nigeria, it shouldn't be Asiwaju priority now.

The roads that would be occupied by bandits and terrorists.

There's nothing like having a visionary leader. If our past leaders are visionary, honest and bold enough to pursue their visions, we won't be struggling the way we are today as our population increases and demands on current infrastructure reach breaking point.

I wish this administration well. I am not under any illusion that this project will be completed without much challenges. In fact, I will be surprised if it takes the number of years its projected. But the key is starting and pushing forward, and one day in the future this will be completed. And our children and coming generation will thank us for it.

The person you quoted lack comprehension skills. He said the calabar end will commence in July accroding to the minister whereas the minister said its commencement is contingent to obtaining approvals. What does that tell u? The lagos end did not need those approvals to commence but the calabar end will need approvals. Even umahi cannot bet his life savings that the calabar end will commence in July.
