Please Engineer, is it okay to used washed gravel to do my fence cap and what is the best mixture for it. Chippings are now very scarce and expensive and I am afraid since rain would be constantly falling on fence cap if its going to affect the durability. I need professional suggestion.

Washed gravel has been in use for fence caps since 1902

The truth is that many of the fence caps I did with gravel in Enugu are still strong and not showing any signs of failing, especially when plastered. Go ahead and use 10 gravel, 8 sand, 1 cement. Thanks.

A six bedroom duplex all en-suite with anteroom, dining, store, kitchen, visitors’ toilet. Two rooms downstairs, four rooms upstairs with a sit-out. It’s an open planned parlour(it is not decked).
