He was a colossal failure, as senate committee chairman on works , a federal road from ogrute to kogi state awarded in 2012 and started in 2013 is abandoned till date.

He is the most heartless and useless politician to come from enugu Ezike.
The truth of the matter is that more people will be happy over his Denise in umuida.
Dude is hated , you can't imagine someone that contested governorship election on platform of a major political party polling only 10k votes .
It is a pity

He shot himself in the foot and I am sure he lived the rest of his life regretting it.

During the 2015 election when he came out to contest for governor, the PDP leadership begged him to go back to the Senate , infact they gave him free ticket but he refused insisting that it is either lion building or nothing. Infact he was so sure about clinching the ticket that he and his followers boasted that Thier next destination is the Lion building. until Sullivan did them strong thing.

That by itself won't improve power. But it also gives the state the power to generate its own electricity. We have a lot of coal in Enugu, it should be relatively easy for us to find investors willing to invest in our power sector.

Basically, it depends on whether the state government can attract investments to the power sector

We have an illustrious son who is already in that line of business already; Barth Nnaji, what stops the state govt from luring him to invest in the state now both in gas and coal...

Do you know that the Geometric Power Plant was initially conceived for Emene Industrial Layout in Enugu?

Power generation through coal would be a game-changer, and with a driven and proactive governor, is capable of catapulting Enugu towards accelerated economic development! The caveat here is that the federal gov’t don’t place stumbling blocks in the way, or some well-connected asswipe don’t engage in subterranean moves to frustrate the endeavour!

I think state assembly already passed that electricity bill into law... Just like Ogonna said, it is left for the state government to attract private investors.

Yeah, I believe one of the first things Peter Mbah did as governor was to meet Tinubu about coal; because apparently, illegal miners always present some license granted by the federal government when you try to go after them, a license the state doesn't know about. Now, Nigerian resource management is confusing but I always thought states were in charge of solid minerals.

Anyway, since Enugu state is the first to get NERC to handover, you have to assume there's some sort of proactive acting on the part of the government, especially as the sector was one of the investment opportunities presented to investors during that investment conference last year. They might have been working on getting this essentially since the governor got into office.

I weirdly have some confidence in this governor, though I don't know if that investment conference managed to convert one investor.
