You just pay income tax and NI, and road tax if your car has to pay.

Same UK. U pay water bill. Either U use water or not just like council tax either U have a bin or not.

This is a criminal levy. If it must be done, it should be 0.05% and not ten times that.

It shouldn't be done in the first place. Is it only banks that need cybersecurity? Don't banks have their cybersecurity unit?

Now council tax in the Uk is a whole different ball game,In Northern Ireland which is part of the Uk they DO NOT PAY COUNCIL TAX
Also, if you do not rent a whole apartment, you do not pay council tax, People in full time Education DO NOT pay council tax,peopla under 18 do not pay council tax, Members of the armed forces who are i n the armed forces do not pay tax. You guys assume too much

The heading of your post is misleading, the charges is not on all transactions.

In the long run, it applies to all transactions.

When you take a loan, won't you spend it on something else?

When you earn a salary, won't you spend it on something else?

That is totally wrong. I pay water tax which has been calculated from April to December. It's doesn't have to do with whether I use water or not. It has been sent to me just like council tax so I know what am saying my dear

That was calculated upto December. Do they know if I will still be in that place. It is collected same as council tax

What you have as charges to your water bill, some of us have a fixed water meter which got read monthly or quarterly, you on the other hand have estimated billing.!
