I dont know why fools always compare apple with orange. Yes many people left Obaseki in 2020 but then those that were with him then are no longer with him. Shuaibu and Obhi are no longer with him. There was no LP in 2020 to divide PDP votes then. 90% of people in LP are traditionally PDP who voted for Obaseki in 2020. If you dont know that Obaseki has lost so many ground, you may need to have your brain examined.

Wow. I don't understand.. Is it Obaseki that is contesting or what? We barely hear of the pdp candidate on the news

what dont you understand? is it not obvious? Obaseki is the puppet master and that he handpicked the PDP candidate who never had the intention of becoming a governor?

The mission of lp is to divide PDP votes in an election

The gale of resignations/defection from PDP to APC was worse than this prior to the last guber. election in 2020 yet Obaseki of PDP won the election. So Sen. Monday shouldn't celebrate yet.

If you didn't notice alot of things have changed this time around, then you're a baby in politics or an outsider.

The recent defections hitting PDP in Edo signal a lack of faith in the party's vision and leadership. It's time for a change. Let's unite for a brighter future with Senator Mondy Okpebholo
Re: Gale Of Resignations Hit Edo PDP by osariemenesosa1: 1:03pm On May 08
Let's not gamble Edp's future on a party struggling with leadership and structure. It's time for competent, compassionate governance.

Defections froM PDP are warning bells. It's time for a leadership that stands solid
Re: Gale Of Resignations Hit Edo PDP by Iyamu4: 1:13pm On May 08
Choosing who to govern Edo shouldn't be about political loyalty but about who truly serves the people's needs. Considering the PDP's recent track record, Senator Monday Okpebholo is the clear choice.

With the PDP's inability to address its internal issues, how can it address the issues of Edo? The answer is clear: it cannot

Accountability, Integrity, and Vision. These are qualities Edo needs in its next govornor. Qualities the current PDP leadership lacks.

He can buy votes massively there or massively write or inflate results.dont forget the APC leadership in ikpoba okha is fighting for supremacy between osarobo and Agbonayinma
Re: Gale Of Resignations Hit Edo PDP by ThebestPromise: 5:53pm On May 08
The battle ground is Edo South Senatorial District.

The mojo that worked for Obaseki then were the choice of Ize Iyamu whose Comrade had denigrated before, the support of the Governor's Forum headed by Fayemi, the presidency support and Wike financial war chest.

The impact of Wike camp ( Legacy ) will be felt massively. The Legacy group dominates the Edo Central and the group controls the Tony Anienth bloc. Don't forget that Senator Monday is part of Tony Anienth bloc ( a major stakeholder at that ).

The Philip Shuaibu was badly managed by Obaseki and it will hurt PDP greatly. While Obaseki was the head of the technocrats in his government, Shuaibu was the Manager of the political structure of the government. Edo North is gone already.

The Senator Ighoride and Ize Iyamu in the same camp is a force to reckon with in Edo South. The only bloc against APC in the South that is no more strong like before is Igbinedon bloc.

The failure of Obaseki will affect the chances of Asue Ighodaro because as the economic adviser, Edo could not attract a single FDI for years .

Let's watch how it will pan out

From your analysis, you have called the race for the APC.the igbinedion bloc is restricted to ovia lgas which is controlled by hon denco the APC running mate.barr ogie the pdp running mate has a stranglehold on ikpoba okha.hon iduoriyekemwen, sen uzamere etc are all strong factors.in Esan, chief ikimi is a factor.in Edo north, the speaker Blessing agbebaku is from owan west
