So because there are such levies in Ghana and Rwanda, we must then impose them in Nigeria.

Wonderful
People wey stupid.

The weyreys we have over here will still defend them.

Till date, they couldn't achieve anything tangible with the NIMC brouhaha but they want to move to the monetary aspect of thing, the black man is incapable of leading.

You will not see this government implementing policies from other counties that are improving the living condition of the citizens, but once the see tax in Ghana and Rwanda they will not hesitate to bring into nigeria. Terrible!

Fools!

Thunder strike the criminal Ebola and his gang of touts.

Let me give the idiots more ideas.

1. Oil Pipeline protection levy: Any litre of petrol, diesel bought should be charged a certain percentage so we can have money to protect our pipelines.

2. Border protection levy: Customs should add another charge to be imposed on importers so we can have money to protect ourselves.

3. Living levy: Every Nigerian should pay a levy for being alive.

See how they sneaked in terrorism into it. I knew the idiots are working together with terrorists. They want to use the cybersecurity levy to raise money that will be paid to terorrists as ransom whenever they kidnap people.
Number 3 might be true

Wonderful
I actually predicted they would use this line. The FG and State governments need to be called to account for how they spend our taxes and other income. Governors have security votes yet there is massive insecurity. FG has huge spending on police and military yet farmers can't farm in peace.

Tax his land, tax his wage,
Tax his bed in which he lays.
Tax his tractor, tax his mule,
Teach him taxes is the rule.
Tax his cow, tax his goat,
Tax his pants, tax his coat.
Tax his ties, tax his shirts,
Tax his work, tax his dirt.

Tax his chew, tax his smoke,
Teach him taxes are no joke.
Tax his car, tax his grass,
Tax the roads he must pass.

Tax his food, tax his drink,
Tax him if he tries to think.
Tax his sodas, tax his beers,
If he cries, tax his tears.

Tax his bills, tax his gas,
Tax his notes, tax his cash.
Tax him good and let him know
That after taxes, he has no dough.

If he hollers, tax him more,
Tax him until he’s good and sore.
Tax his coffin, tax his grave,
Tax the sod in which he lays.

Put these words upon his tomb,
“Taxes drove me to my doom!”
And when he’s gone, we won’t relax,
We’ll still be after the inheritance tax.

So the famed Isah Pantami NIN-BVN-SIM linkage to tackle terrorism remains the charade and facade that it was? Babanla Criminals in government.
You haven't heard that they want to introduce a new one?
Re: Cybersecurity Levy To Tackle Crimes, Terrorism - FG by CyberWolf: 7:51am On May 09, 2024
But the act said the levy is to be paid by some specified businesses, why then did they lump all the masses together and decided to start extorting them? This is an agboro style government, government of extortion and they never get tired.

This is just a failed state. Nigeria I weep for thee. Our leaders are criminals without conscience even at this harsh time. I still weep for people still having hope in failed Nigeria state.

Corrupt politicians are killed in China, why have we not adopted that great innovation from them, or our eyes do not see those kind of great favour to permutate the criminal justice law?

juliuscaesar:
What happens to all the money and properties recovered by EFCC? Why can't we use that to fight the so called "terrorism."?

The masses are suffering and this government want to keep adding to the suffering. Spending 15 trillion on a coastal highway, when that same amount or even less can give us 24 hrs electricity. Which is more important to the people, the coastal highway or 24-hour electricity?
The possibility Nigeria will have a coastal highway should govt spend 15trn is 99%

while the possibility Nigerians will have a 24-hour power should govt expend 15trn is mer with " uncertainty" .... its not a question of which is more important, it is a matter of which is achievable

Ribadu is trying to create wealth for himself. It is a known fact that Tinubu usually request the people he hires to create means of raising money and Ribadu's idea is taking from people's bank account to fight terrorism as NSA.

Most cyber attacks are carried out by bankers or people colluding with bankers.

You have said it all.
Houseontherock1:
They never copy good innovations from other countries...only the ones that don't favor the masses like the cost of fuel and taxes. One thing is clear; no nation can tax itself to prosperity... especially a country like Nigeria where the taxes don't even trickle back to the society but to a few pockets undecided
Re: Cybersecurity Levy To Tackle Crimes, Terrorism - FG by PARADIZEPRIEST: 8:54am On May 09, 2024
Cybersecurity in Nigeria should be top notch to wipe out cyber criminals daily.
The banks must be ahead of cyber criminals in technology, customer orientation and reorientation, station interpol at all bank branches nationwide and make a law to imbecilize any cyberscriminal sentenced etc.THEN THIS RUBBISH WILL STOP. angry
