Fubara is a very irresponsible, foolish, and lawless individual. The same people hailing him now would be calling for help from the US, UK, UN, and others to save democracy in Nigeria if a governor from the APC were treating the state legislature like this. The legislature is meant to be an independent arm of government, but it has become a mockery in Nigeria. Even the judiciary has been rendered useless. There's too much executive overreach in this country. Whoever drafted the 1999 constitution did not have the country's best interests at heart.

The saddest part is that all the people supporting all his dictatorial moves now will be calling on the UN, AU, US, UK and others to come to Nigeria's rescue when the other people start their own. That's when they will remember the rule of law and blah blah blah.
They will be shouting that "Democracy is dead". Now, a Governor is treating the legislative arm of govt like this and some people are happy.
Wait till an APC Governor tries this then they will change tune and start crying.

This was what I told itsrm the other day and he claimed Wike has done roads & other infrastructures that Rivers people need....he doesn't care if Fubara chooses to waste his 4 years on fighting Wike .

That's selfishness na . Maybe the part of the state u live in has decent infrastructures built by Wike's administration , but what about other parts of the state that still need development ?

Anyways sha maybe Rivers is not like Lagos and violence doesn't really scare u guys cos I can't imagine if this kinda thing was happening in Lagos; let's say pro Wike and pro Fuabra people are fighting in places like Ikeja , Oshodi, Obalende, CMS, Iyana Ipaja...etc. its as good as the whole state is on fire and almost everybody will lose their peace.

That's where I'm coming from; even u that claim to have everything u need will be living in fear for ur properties when things like that happen

No, the argument we had was you saying it's the Rivers people that will suffer because Fubara will be distracted and won't be able to do anything.

I'm saying, as long as this is the consequence of them fighting, I am perfectly at peace with it.

They can continue fighting as long as they keep it at the current war of words and it doesn't degenerate into violence. No one wants violence in the state.
