Famous Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo chose to honor African customs by giving his son fatherly blessings and accepting his first paycheck for his work on set.

Kanayo just welcomed his son Clinton Mbaise into the world of filmmaking.

According to Kanayo, many people in the nation have advanced as a result of learning about this culture from their ancestors.

Clinton was paid N50,000 after completing his first movie production with his father.

In the video shared on Kanayo’s Instagram account on Thursday, he requested N500 from the salary his son earned and then prayed for him to succeed in the industry.

The Nollywood actor advised Nigerians to always give their first salary to their father for his blessings and not to their pastors. He emphasized that only a father can bless his child.

Kanayo said, “I want to observe a culture from our ancestors which has led to the progress of many people you see today, ”Father blessing.’

“Clinton my son just concluded a few production management with us and he has earned his first salary, his first salary is N50,000 for a movie.

“Clinton from your pocket in the N50,000 give me N500.

“The first salary of a young man, he goes to his father to say Nnayi my salary is N50,000, the father may decide to take the entire money, he may also decide to take any amount and his father will now bless him.

“The idea of his father asking him to know the salary is, so his father would teach him financial management.

“All you going to pastors to give your salary, you are wasting your time, is not part of our culture.”

Sometimes you need to talk less... I don't know what people think about first tithe but I believe that as Christians we need to understand the facts that judgment belongs to God and that pastors, servants of God are the representative of God on earth.. It just the same way Marian criticized Moses unknowning to her that there is a divine connectivity between Moses and God I don't judge pastors... How much can I give to God that is enough for me to go into judgment with him..

Ive seen this news elsewhere and the majority of those who disagreed are females.

Why are women always so sold out to pastors? The common response from them: "I'll give my pastor or my spiritual father because he prays for me" 😂
Are your own parents not praying for you? Just because they don't make a show of it. Nobody loves and prays and wishes you well like or more than your parents. Not your pastor, not your spiritual daddy.

He (pastor) takes what you give him and trains his own children because no One also loves his own children more than him.
Is this logic simple enough?

Please people should stop dabbling into spiritual matters they know nothing about..Your earthly father is NOT your God.

Your first salary belongs to God, who is your Heavenly Father. You are not giving it to the Pastor, you are giving it to God.

You can give your second salary to your earthly father if you so wish but certainly not the first.

Your earthly father probably didn’t give you the job, and doesn’t have what it takes to make you excel in and keep the job

It doesn't belong to the pastor nor your father rather it belong to God. I can say Kanayo is right saying it belong to your father because God is our Father. So what you do is to bring it to the house of God and how it's administered by the church shouldn't be your concern. Yours is to obey God's word concerning that.

As the Father why wait for my kid to bring his first salary if I'm made already I believe with his first salary he should start planning and figure out life more.

The pressure this society put on kids is just too overwhelming if ur religion isn't putting pressure on you na ur family go dey put..

Kid of this days can't even stand what there parents stands so we should reduce the pressure so we don't push them to depression people wey be say ordinary one single Jamb wey den go fail dey start committing suicide, we don't push Dem to Fraud Crime and Ritual....

Anybody that is getting first salary, it means, he/she is an adult,and, as an adult, you are knowledgeable enough to know how you want to spend your first salary. God, pastor, father,wife etc

Nobody is entitled to first or any of ur salary except you.
