Nollywood actress Evan Okoro expresses distress as her home is demolished in Delta State, resulting in the loss of her entire life savings.

I'm wondering why there's no outrage.. Because is not Lagos and yorubas can't be blamed.

But why is Sanwo-Eko chasing Igbos all round the country nah? Why are these Tinubu's boys demolishing Igbos' properties from Lagos to Anambra, to Delta, to Owerri, why nah?

So government can't go after those spoiling their name and work?

There is no way you can tell me that over 50 people will cough out a lot of money tp build house in a particular place without government's agencies approval.

Ok so where was the government when they commenced the building? The building didn't just magically appear overnight

Caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware is a common legal maxim. You want to build a 100 million house and you cannot search the zoning map and building regulations with less than 5k?

Nowhere in the world does a building and planning regulator have enough enforcement staff to monitor all builds. Most of these guys got approval for something and built something different. Like the developer at Mende Villa who had approval for 40 houses and built 50!!

I bought a house from a family and I am having to get design approvals and pay penalties of over 5m in spite of the fact that the building came up in 1979 and the old man died in the 80's.

We are not used to regulations being applied and we place too much importance on short cuts and saving money.

Las Las we go all get sense.
