Don't speak on their behalf. They will likely be part of the Benin kingdom sha.

They are not. Maybe the urhobos but certainly not those asaba,ogwashuku,kwale,IJAW... We Edos got nothing in common traditionally and culturally with them. They are Anioma and have strong cultural and traditional ties with the Igbos.

Delta north was part of the western region,Midwest state, Bendel state and now part of Delta state.

Delta state and Edo state will form a united country.

Yes and that's cos the whole of Delta today was part of the old Bendel with the capital in Benin city.

But Bendel is really all about the Edo.. today it is Edo state and all the components of Edo,the Benins,Esan,Afemai which consists of the Auchi,Owan people are all Edoid. All offshoots of the Benin kingdom. It's only the people of Akoko Edo,Igarra, who are also part of Afemai, that are not really Edo! Their language and music is more related to the Kwara kogi Igalla something. They also speak a lot of yoruba as well in Igarra. Only the Urhobos in delta are Edo people who went very far away from home and only God knows what happened to them and who they mixed with that gave them their present kinda language and cultural lifestyle.
So in essence, the Benins are top in the kingdom and if anything happens today, the old Benin kingdom and empire will be returned and it doesn't include any outsiders whether asaba or ogwash or kwale, everybody go answer him papa name for him own country. I really wish for that.

Delta state and Edo state is one. No part of this area has ever been part of the eastern region.

Even ojukwu didn't integrate them into Biafra.

No part of Delta state will be part of Biafla

How does an entire river belong to Benin in a unitary 21st century state like Nigeria? You're just a typical agbado cretin with below-average IQ

Well I don't know or bother myself about that. The only thing that concerns me is the return of the old Benin kingdom and empire...that the great Obas,Oba Ovoramwen,Oba Esigie,Oba Ewuare, etc built.

Nothing like asaba, ogwashuku kwale IJAW and even urhobo there ....

The delta got their own destiny, especially the Ijaws.

Guy there's nothing like Edo/Delta nation, where the hell you getting this from.

In the days of the great Obas of Benin, there was nothing like delta people in the kingdom.
There's no cultural and traditional ties between the Edos and the people of delta state apart from a little from the urhobos.
The Ijaws speak IJAW language and the others, asaba, ogwashuku kwale are more close to the Igbos as they speak same language.
Edo got no ties at all with the igbos

Before the arrival of the white men, Igbo land was not united under one kingdom.

Delta state and Edo state will be one united nation if Nigeria divide, why is it paining you?

Edo and Delta state were united under the Midwest and Bendel state. They will do fine as a united nation.

Stop pokenosing in the affairs of Delta and Edo.

You are an Igbo man. It is common for Igbo to use other places to create their account name. This serves as cover to perpetrate their online propaganda. Example is the princeoflagos, lagos1stson, Oredopikin etc

Even that slowmir wey dey claim to be from Bini is also an Igbo man. Na so una dey do.
Don't mind them. Even Southern Kaduna doesn't create thread upon thread asking about territory.

Taraba people don't.

Niger Delta, the life wire of the country doesn't. That's despite they have tried to secede before.

It's ONLY Igbos who are obsessed with the topic. They are very easy to spot from miles away grin

It does not matter what they were part of. When Nigeria breaks up, everyone will choose where they want to belong. All those who speak a common language as their ancestral to guess are likely to go to with each other

Asaba can't choose to be in Biafla. Delta and Edo state will be united as one nation. Be worried about the south east.

I am not a fan of Zik but why blame Nnamdi Azikiwe? There was a referendum and the people voted to have their own region. So why blame Zik?
chopnaira:
You have Nnamdi Azikwe to thank for that. Edo and Delta were part of the Western region until Azikiwe happened and it became Midwest region then Bendel state. The military helped Azikiwe finish work patapata and eventually divided it to Edo and Delta.

Zooposki:
That’s the wickedness of them people that rotate presidencies amongst themselves. I’m pretty sure it’s one of them generals.
Those parts in Edo state that share boundaries with Ondo state are Yoruba speaking communities that were mapped into Edo state. If we Yorubas take back what belongs to them, Edo will have no access to any ocean even if there is adjustment. So, how is this wickedness?

There is no single Edo community on the bank of the Atlantic Ocean. Even from historical account, the old Benin never had access to sea. It’s on record that when they wanted to attack in current Lagos, it was the Ijaws and Ilajes that helped them to Lagos on water. So, how do you want Edo to have access to the ocean when they have no community or village on the bank of the ocean? Do you want to kill the Ilajes, Ijaws and Urhobo who are there?

This is access to the ocean and as you can see from the satellite map no structures are there.
