If not because of Peter Obi's initiatives as Anambra governor, the state didn't know it's potentials in this direction. It's why we insist that those who know the way should lead us. But many of us are not seeing that, still because of our stupidity - like the leaders like the led.

Why will a govt be commissioning rice Mill?

There are rice mills so over the North and I've never seen any gov commission them

We need both. Rice farms without processing mills is like having crude oil without refinery. You end up exporting the raw material and import finished products which makes it more expensive.

Point of correction: major right producing state in the east not in the whole of Nigeria.
Most northern states produce quadruple of what small Anambra state can produce.
Even in the east, Ebonyi state produces more rice than Anambra state .

We're over populated in this country. We deserve to import rice from the neighbouring countries to enable the price of rice and other grains come down. The higher the supply, the lower the price rules will apply.

Ignorant mind Anambra is one of the major rice producing state with four standard giant rice mills Coscharis, Josan giant mill, Stine rice mill and Seaman including numerous medium processing Mills, Ebonyi only have one standard mill that was built during Goodluck regime.

I'm not counteracting what you said about Anambra state having 4 rice mills. I'm only counteracting what you said about Anambra state being among the major rice producers in Nigeria.
Rice production is not the same thing as having rice mills. That's why I had to screenshot the evidence that Anambra state is not among major rice producers in Nigeria.
