Hello folks. Why is that whenever someone lands in Nigeria , your passport is checked and reviewed by an official before another immigration officer stamps your passport ? Honest feedback

Job creation, perhaps. Besides, it's not like the wages for 2 checkers is equal to the wage some countries pay one.

It does create inefficiency, no doubt, but it keeps one checker off Nairaland and mischief making.

Its just Dual/multiple control level designed in sensitive work flow..

in operations management of some business types, a task should not start and end with one person... It helps control error, bias, fraud, and maintaining quality assurance

Those initial officials are DSS to check if you are on a watchlist and Port Health Officials before the Immigration
