I thought people said Nigerian police can never arrest soldier.

Police is ranked way higher than soldiers in the US, and any soldier misbehaving in public will be arrested by the police. There is total civilian control of the US military and soldiers are barely seen on the streets in uniform and if seen never with a gun so he has no choice but to be calm. All that high ranking military officer thing don't mean nothing in the US and doesn't confer any special advantage on you unlike Nigeria.

First thing first is to figure out why the military has lost respect among Nigerians. Back in the days, nobody has the guts to challenge a
man in military uniform. See finish is gradually setting in. Boko Haram, herdsmen, unknown gunmen have unmasked the Nigerian
military as regular folks in camouflage khaki uniform. Sorry to say, but I don't think it is going to get any better. They beat those military
boys like Boys scout. Those surprised at this scenario are living in the past. They have assaulted civilians so much that it may have

Soldiers are a member of the Society, they can go anywhere in their Uniform so long as they're not under any threat ...here in the US, they live with civilians side by side, go to public places in their Uniforms and are mostly given priority treatment by the public whenever they are in Uniforms be it the shopping malls while on queue , Airports, train stations ball games and other public places...
They're not mobbed by hooligans and another ignorant person asking what they're doing in those places in defense of those shameful behaviors
