U wan use Gen dey charge. Nigeria has stupid leaders cos we have too many stupid followers
Just that you’re the stweepid one here. So long the generator can provide the voltage/current that can power the battery, it will charge it easily.

Now ask yourself, what will be the voltage/current needed for an electric tricycle?

I have an electric bike that does not even require much. It can even be charged by a small generator that you guys call “I pass my neighbor”.

Now what voltage will an electric motorcycle require and if you use a bigger generator, won’t it charge it?

I think it'll work same way we recharge our phones .

The battery is under the driver's seat .
The charging port can be seen from there .

I like it already. Good innovation tailored for Nigerian unique usage
you think not you know? Do you "think" it will consume more electricity?

Re: Made-in-Nigeria Electric Powered Nord Tricycles by Originalsly: 1:38pm On May 22, 2024
It's a good development... but not for Nigeria. Let's chew on the reality ... you bought a tricycle.... fully charged battery.... what distance would you get from a full charge? ... how long does it take to recharge recharge? ... haveba second battery... again ... how long does it take to recharge? .... do you have 24/7 power to recharge ? ... if not how would you recharge?.... generator?.... how long would you run the generator to recharge? ... are they lithium batteries?... then a lot more current is required. What will be the cost of electricity to recharge? If lithium battery.... be prepared for fires that the fire department is not equipped to out out. Toyota is not putting much stock in EVs.... focusing on hybrids ... sale of EVs have been slowing down .... sale of hybrids is going up... in the developed countries with 24/7 electricity and charging stations... there must be a good reason. Let's not get ahead of ourselves.

But you have not yet being able to mine and process metal in your country.

So it still don't deserve the right to be called a-MADE-IN- Nigeria product

Thank you
YOU ARE A MOR.ON.

Empty head.

Who told you we do not mine or process metal in Nigeria?

Those vehicles and others being produced in Nigeria are MADE IN NIGERIA.

It’s only in Nigeria that ILLITERATES like you suffering from deep inferiority complex have invented a “difference” between manufacturing and “assembly”.

In the rest of the world the two words mean the EXACT SAME THING.

Zero difference.

To assemble IS to manufacture, and to manufacture is to assemble.

Manufacturing a vehicle is done by acquiring parts from multiple vendors and then ‘assembling’ the vehicle.

That’s how EVERY vehicle manufacturer operates.

So get rid of your complex and accept that manufacturing is taking place IN Nigeria.

Good but I am surprised I could not find where anyone wrote about converting mechanical or physical energy while the vehicle is moving into electrical energy.

This plus solar on top can make the vehicle run longer. So while one battery or part of the same battery is working, another part can be converting the movement into stored or charged electrical energy.

I remember this from our highschool physics a century ago! Some of you may remember the textbook from Abbott, I think.

beryledibor:
The battery should be removable so that you can keep one charging while working with another otherwise it's not sustainable.

Charging station can also be established only for changing removable batteries.

Little by little petrol dependence will vanished

They would be set up by businessmen who would collect token from them for charging, if you are business minded you won't even be asking such question.

Innoson is a business man that produce after careful study. Who runs an electric powered commercial tricycle business when there is neither charging facility nor steady power supply. The time taken to recharge will cost you trips compared to fuel powered.
You made sense. But the batteries can be charged overnight. That space under passengers can be used to keep extra batteries. If you have three batteries. One in use and two as spares it can be very wise. One runs down, put another one. On your way drop the dead one at a charging point. Keep using the other ones. Another dies, drop it on your way again for charging. Collect the first one. And the circle goes on.

Although it would have been best, if the roof is made of Solar Panels. Charging other batteries while one is in use.

Great idea by NORD. If the tricycle's batteries last two working days as being claimed and they get fully charged almost as fast as your electronic gargets, then it's gonna be a success. Riders would just have to recharge at night after work and they're good for the whole of the next day.
