Methinks only a court of higher status can put aside what State High court in Rivers State has directed

jumps in the sky by obtaining rediculous judicial pronouncements. The high court in Rivers state nullified the law, effectively ending the chairmen tenure. It's a decided case that should be appealed. Wike is clutching at straws. He will lead some judges to their dismissal.

Not correct.
This is not an ex-parte order. The Chairmen simply filed a case at the Federal High Court.
Re: . by mrsqueen: 9:37am On May 25, 2024
Court of same jurisdiction... 1st order stays...

wrong, read the screenshot of the post I uploaded, in the screenshot you uploaded, on the 14th of May, justice Omotosho, instructed all parties to maintain status quo, he also adjourned the case to May 29th. Your post says 14th of May, look at the image above, the interim order was granted yesterday being the 24th of may

There was a court judgement from Abuja restraining the pdp or other related parties from Declaring the seats of the lawmakers vacant before the governor got a kangaroo judgement from the High Court, why did he not obey the first order?

Yes but the chairmen now have a reason to remain in office since they got a judgement backing their decisions to remain in office, the DSS DG, IG of police and commissioner of police were also defendants, the chairmen will be provided with adequate security to remain in office

the tenure elongation is the most recent and the status quo of the interpretation of the constitution on issues of the assembly men needs to be maintained without any court injunction. Hope you get that!
