It looks like there is a cartel that determines which musician must rise. so many great talents remain buried and average layabouts promoted as stars. What's going on?

What happens is that an average Nigerian do not subscribe to what celebrities do not validate.

An average Nigerian will hear a nice song but will not appreciate it until social media influencers use the song. An average Nigerian will repeat a trending song he or she does not really like, just to feel among.
