Some years ago, I was a victim of false accusation. Me and a friend stood close to a man's car, a man from the same neighborhood, damn , we didn't lean on it oh(cos we know say no be our papa car).

Na so, this man walked to us, smelling of alcohol and said why are we close to his car,all we said was sorry sir. We were about leaving, the next thing that happened, was a slap to my friend's face!!! Powww, my friend held his face and started calling my name.

Mine happened in the midst of plenty hausa urchins and you know they will never ask questions as long as you don't speak their language. If na Lagos, even if you thief a whole building, someone must ask you what you did.

Nobody asked me anything. People that knew me were right there in the crowd and it was their opportunity to kill me for being better than them and not mingling or talking to them. Pure envy, I saw all of them.
Imagine I was about to travel out in exactly one week, my business was good, I got a new contract that paid was paying over 35k per day, living my sweet life..... And about to die like a common thief in the street for a false accusation. Thank God for everything sha.

Businessman, Ayiri Emami, has revealed that the 200-level student of the Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) in Oyo State, identified as Alex Timileyin, who was allegedly beaten to death by a group of students for allegedly stealing a mobile phone, is a prince in Uvwie and Warri kingdoms in Delta state.

It was earlier reported that the late Timileyin was beaten to his death in his hostel known as Shepherd Inn on the school premises on Saturday, May 25, 2024. A video posted online showed the deceased rolling on the floor while other students were beating him with sticks. The school authorities have since expelled the indicted students and handed them over to the police.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation with many calling for the prosecution of the students.

In a video he recorded on Sunday, Ayiri mentioned that the deceased is a Prince in both Uvwie and Warri kingdom and called on the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, to ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet.

Investigations show that the Late Timileyin was the son of Princess Antonia Emiko, daughter of Olu Erejuwa II (1951-1986), and an aunt of the current Olu of Warri. He was also a first cousin of His Majesty, Ogíamè Atuwatsé III CFR, the Olú of Warri Kingdom.

AAyiri Emami should be careful not to exacerbate the situation. His threat can't bring Alex back to life. Peaceful resolution is the answer.

We sympathise with the family for losing a loved one. But threats of retaliation is not the answer. And can never be the answer.

But if Ayiri wants to cry more than the bereaved,he will be dealt with in a professional and incisive skill. He should remember how he was dealt with by Tompolo Boys in 1996 Ijaw/Itshekiri crisis.
