I am on the Market for a new TV but I'm finding it hard to decide because I was a laptop gamer, and I game on PC a few times, now I am switching to console and it's my first time, that's where the confusion lies, as I don't know which kind of tv to get, researching online confuse me the most because now I'm worried about resolution, wether I should get a hd or 4k, wether I must get a smart tv or it works well on a regular lcd tv, wether size matters, some are saying anything below 40inch won't work, if you have some knowledge on this pls share.

Any tv will work but I would advice you to get a 4K tv...incase you decide to upgrade to ps5

But what if I stay with ps4, any kind of tv would work right? I intend to buy a 49 inch lcd tv.

the problem is the location, I don't want a situation where you're trying to waybill and I get something that was damaged in transit, I no get strength for wahala.

M, you can still use your gaming monitor for the ps4,
Monitors come with much lower latency/lag which is good for competitive gaming.
However any 1080p and above OLED TV will be okay for the ps4, the size will depend on the distance of the couch you’ll be playing on,

Further, larger inches.

Yes, normal Flat screen TVs have 1080p
They also have 720p, 2k and 4k
1080p is the sweet spot.

If you're using the base ps4 and not considering to ugrade soon, just get a Full HD TV (1080p). But if you're using a ps4 pro, try to get a 4k TV of any size from 40 inches and above that has support for HDR so you can also use it when you upgrade later. Don't bother about refresh rates for now cos most games on current gen consoles( Xbox series x/s, PS5) struggle to hit 60fps even on performance mode. You only get to enjoy high refresh rate TV on current Gen consoles if they support VRR.

They are talking nonsense, difference btw 4 and 4 pro is negligible, 4 and 5 na cosmetic diff.. Now i have 5 that i touch once in Like 3 months. Its better to have low version 4 with lots of games

Coming from someone that couldn't purchase the right TV for his needs

You see? I personally think the ps4 is the best console as I can play all the games I want on it, I don't really see the need to upgrade, but people will be giving the impression that if isn't ps5 it's worthless.
