Fiscus105:You can't discuss your fundamental human right without discussing how the right was breached. The process by which the right was broken is not the jurisdiction of the Federal high court therefore the whole suit is the jurisdiction of the State high court which a normal High court judge should not entertain in the first place. The Fed high court cannot entertain chieftaincy matters, how can they entertain fundamental rights that arose from chieftaincy matters? What rights are we talking about, that he was giving 48hrs to hand over state govt properties? If he was a tenant, yes we can talk about his rights as a tenant, but this is an official residence. Whoever is the Emir occupies the palace. If it's the issue of banishment from Kano just like Sanusi was, state govt didn't banish him. He can go to his private house or a hotel. Of course the throne cannot be his fundamental right. I just think Tinubu is afraid of Ganduje. Tinubu should not forget that Ganduje lost Kano, I they are fighting a lost battle. Unless Tinubu is telling Kanawa that he doesn't need them in 2027 just like he didn't get them in 2023. This is going to solidify the grip of Kwankwasiya and NNPP in Kano. |

Raf4:The law enacted by the Ganduje's government was repealed to give birth to this new one, so what is your point? Where does the court get its powers from? The constitution right? Who is saddled with the responsibility of making or amending the constitution? |

Judolisco:Succession to the throne is not like the British monarchy where you know who is certain to take over barring any unforeseen circumstances. That a candidate is favoured to take over doesn't mean he is the heir apparent. Kingmakers will still have their say, and whoever they choose is to be accepted by all. So that line that says " Sanusi is not next in line for the throne" is wack |

The case favours Sanusi in all ways. Lawyers go chop Bayero's money taya. |

Judolisco:That is the sad reality. The traditional institution is controlled by the government. In the past, traditional rulers also exercised political powers. |

adanny01:I stopped reading after ur bolded, someone went to court that his right was breached, and the court ruled against other party that ,..... stop going ahead from whatever you want to do "for" NOW pending the determination of the main issues. Why can't the other party stop and head to same court to proof that they lack jurisdiction to entertain it or go to superior court to vacate such other? Oga, not until we are dispensing judgement either in court or in our day to day activities as free citizens without bias, prejudice and in hypocritical ways, we would be struggling to move forward in this country. Bye. |

Let Sanusi breathe. APC and Ganduje are to be blame for all this tussle that's happening in Kano. |

Fiscus105:When a court gives an order, the order is effective when served. If the state government went ahead after receiving the court order, it would have been contempt of court. However, state assembly repealed the law Thurs, those who went to court went that day the order was given somehow by miracle speed same day, that order couldn't have been served to the Governor same day, that will be the speediest service in the history of Nigeria. Governor implemented next day Friday. Governor was served on Monday. There is no contempt of court, only a court order that is after the effect. The implementation is valid, the court order is valid but not implementable since it came after the effect because the status quo is no longer the same. |

senatordave1:Explain how he was wrongly crowned. I need detail explanation from you. I hope you're not subscribing to enthronement of a son after the demised of his father when in real sense the emirship is rotated between two families? The Bayeros' royal family and the Sanusis' royal family. Sanusi wasn't wrongly crowned, he is 100% qualified by all standard to be an emir. |

IfnobeGod20:The Emirship is not rotated between two families. Ado Bayero was a regent. The Emirship has always been with the Sanusi. |
| Re: Emir Sanusi & Bayero's Conflicting Court Orders: A Lawyer's View. by IfnobeGod20(m): 8:19am On May 29, 2024 |
Fiscus105:No doubt, no matter how frivolous an order may be, it must be obeyed but in this you may not fault the governor totally, he may not have received the order before his action to issuing letter to Sanusi. You need to consider that. Again, our judiciary are also ridiculing the system. Why should a judge issue an order or even sit on issue he knows he has no jurisdiction to entertained? The CJN need to look into such action of some.judges, they are just using it to waste time and eat from politicians. No judge that doesn't know his or her jurisdiction but they feign ignorant because of their belly. |

Bunnatex:Point of correction please. The same process was not used to remove Sanusi. Ganduje only balkanized the emirate councle into five and Sanusi held sway with one before a panel of enquiry was constituted against Sanusi which later surmounted to his dethronement at other time. |
| Re: Emir Sanusi & Bayero's Conflicting Court Orders: A Lawyer's View. by senatordave1(m): 8:51am On May 29, 2024 |
IfnobeGod20:He was wrongly crowned because he was never among the shortlisted Candidates in 2013.apc because of politics and to spite Gej persuaded kwankwaso to crown Sanusi.you have forgotten so soon |
| Re: Emir Sanusi & Bayero's Conflicting Court Orders: A Lawyer's View. by Bunnatex(m): 9:22am On May 29, 2024 |
Safyqueen:Good, this Balkanization came as a result of bill by The House of Assembly who at the time thought it was the best thing to do. Now same house of assembly is saying they want to return to one Emirate. So what's the fuss about it? I think the only issue would be if it didn't pass through due process |
| Re: Emir Sanusi & Bayero's Conflicting Court Orders: A Lawyer's View. by Safyqueen: 10:07am On May 29, 2024 |
Bunnatex:The technicality here is that Sanusi was found wanting before his dethronement whereas Aminu Ado Bayero was not investigated and found wanting. When the emirate was balkanized, Sanusi held the center and was their chairman, so if the law is now repealed, Aminu Ado Bayero who succeed Sanusi as their chairman supposed to continue or another person entirely through another fresh nomination, screening by the concerned king makers would have been done. If Sanusi wasn't dethroned and the law is now repealed, Sanusi being the one on the centre stool would have been asked to continue expressely as it is now. So why not Aminu Ado Bayero by the same express. |

Safyqueen:I think I understand your logic. And I think it's a fair one. But then I think the house of assembly is trying to return to status quo on the state of affairs before the deposition of Sanusi. Maybe they are of the opinion that the old Emir was never meant to be deposed in the first place. |

senatordave1:You're wrong, he was among the 30 aspirants screened. You guys should stop lying, you gain nothing from lying unabated. Below is the extract of those screened from newspaper and the link attached. "Information has it that no fewer than 30 candidates, including Sanusi Lamido are in hot contention for the stool. Others are the Ciroman Kano (heir apparent), Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero; Turakin Kano, Nasir Ado Bayero; Sarkin Dawaki Tsakarigida, Aminu Ado Bayero; Wambai Kano, Alhaji Abbass Sanusi; Galadima Kano, Tijjani Hashim; and a member of the board of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, Abdullahi Ado Bayero. Investigation revealed that all the candidates are expected to be screened soon by a four-man team of kingmakers in the Emirate’s Council of State. The kingmakers are Makama, Madaki, Sarkin Dawaki Mai Tuta and Sarkin Bai". https://greenbreporters.com/news/politics/sanusi-lamido-sanusi-may-emerge-as-next-emir-of-kano.html |

IfnobeGod20:You are the one that is lying shamelessly.if you have nothing to say,why not keep silent and accept superior facts? Who is talking about aspirants and screening? We are talking about the final candidates shortlisted and presented to the governor.sanusi was never shortlisted, therefore was never qualified.it seems you don't know the meaning or differences between aspirants, candidates, screening and shortlisting |

senatordave1:This is the problem some of you have always thinking you know it all but in the long run, you know but nothing. Even as the news clearly stated that Sanusi is on the verge of becoming the new emir of Kano, you still feigned ignorance as usual. It was a well known fact that he was among the four finally submitted names for consideration to be made emir of Kano then. The Sahara reporters that was following the happenings gave the world an update that you refused to read, even after the link was attached. Now, who will help you from further wallowing deep in ignorance. My only concern is the misinformation you're peddling about concerning the chosen of the emir and not the side you took in this issue. Come to think of it, if he wasn't among the four submitted to the governor and he was finally announced, don't you think the kingmakers would have raised dust then. Now, the same kingmakers are in SHC to vent and protect Sanusi from further ridicule. I know you didn't read the yesterday news of the order of the SHC. I know you only read the heading and work away. I reiterate, stop peddling lie and misinformation. |
