And why should you accept a country almagamated by foreigners?
Can't remember when I told you that.

If it was up to me, the whole African continent, not just Nigeria would be reset to it's true components (now called ethnic groups) and let's run a united states of Africa. This is what Kwame Nkrumah wanted to do but didn't realize it won't work unless the existing European created structures were destroyed first.

Your fatherland has been converted to motherland

By adopting this national anthem implies that my father's land cannot be broken from the shackles of Nigeria slave master.

Only followed your argument since you asked why should we accept what is composed by a foreigner. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. If you can't accept the anthem, you should also not accept the name Nigeria, its creation and a government not created by Africans and for Africans...We should return to the Songhai empire, etc.

We have gone back to colonial period, while other countries are trying to erase any trace of colonialism, Nigeria is moving back toward to our slave master. We can never make progress if we continue like this, this is what men in uniform that took over the reign of government realized and have broke ties with their colonial masters. Look at it, a prince from our colonial master visited Nigeria, then suddenly our National anthem was change, it is not out of place to think that it is the visitor that instructed them to change it.

If not we be backward country, the opposition would have used this as a campaign issue in 2027 and it would surely resonate with youths

With all honesty this newly readopted national anthem far better than the formal that deceived us calling mediocre our heroes spite,no Noble course ,our truth are far away from truth we asked God to guide them to know.no one is compatriots, Nigeria called nobody obey genuinely.....but this one reflect on our true diversity, ethinicity etc

Did your ancestors invent Electricity, the cars you ride and many other things that make your everyday living possible? The old anthem, though wont cure hunger, is a better reflection of who we are and where we pray to be as a nation in the future.

This was my post 19 days ago. Nigeria is very predictable and remains a colonial playground. The British still directly controls Nigeria and the lives of Nigerians don't matter to them or their local agents.

That last line is 'Nigeria may be blessed' and not 'Nigeria shall be blessed'.

Since we are not pleased that the anthem was composed by a foreigner, we should do away with everything foreign and japa should be outlawed since we want to liberate ourselves from anything foreign, especially from the West. Nobody borders to look at the content of the anthem but angry because it was composed by a white girl. When we migrate to the West, our ideas are always welcomed and celebrated; some of us hold political posts and serve in the military. It's sad the state of our mind. We live in a world of hypocrisy.
The anthem is all inclusive, unlike our so called heroes past who were tribal bigots, with the intention of dominating others.
the Blackman will tell you how much of a demon the white man is but he is always looking forward to travel to the land of the very same white man he loves to paints as evil our race and hypocrisy are like siblings

One of them already did but I do care less.
I'm not one to follow the crowd or blindly accept popular opinions. Instead, I carefully examine and evaluate information before forming my own beliefs and opinions. I'm not swayed by peer pressure or the need to conform, and I'm confident in my ability to think independently and make informed decisions.
This is how a reasonable person who has brain should think not allowing tribalism, racism cloud their judgements. Kudos to you, MissOpe!

They won't like that, hunger problems may be resolved and to control a hungry man is far easier and cheaper than a well fed man

Fcwilly:
They should then open borders for rice and other foreign food to come in.
