Federal Govt should consider whatever is their claims with good understanding, no one is arguing the right of way of the Federal Government but truly speaking, the road construction didn't follow proper due process....

No E.IA...no pre-information or meetings with the owners of the premises at least eight months before demolition. So why won't the owner begin to feel that he is being intimidated because he is not in his land?

See, Federal Government if the project was actually started through due process , will never bring this issue out, the owners should have been long settled , all we will see is the demolitions going on....but Umahi feels he knows better than his kinsmen...

SMH @ the bolded comment. I thought you were a reasonable fellow. Did he have to permission to 'manage' the beach? He was trespassing on a public property. When the owner of the property came calling, he decided to incite his ethnic people against the owner. That is it. If a piece of land does not belong to you, it does not belong to you. Did anyone ask him to manage it? He was even making money from it.

Like I earlier commented, I have no problem with him using the beach front. I would have done the same thing if I owned the property. What I find distasteful was him inciting his fellow tribesmen against the government for taking over a place that wasn't his. The audacity is crazy.....

By comparing private homes with an investment worth millions of dollars.

You are not making sense. Landmark was trespassing on the beach. That beach is a public property. His actual property was never touched. I actually don't see anything wrong in him using the beach. However, the narrative he and his tribesmen put out that he was being persecuted for him being Igbo is horrible. I don't know where he got that sense of entitlement to a place that was never his.

Whether Landmark is a business does not matter. Is he not benefitting from the business? Would you allow any business person to tresspass on your property. Besides, he was not the only one affected. In fact, there are other businesses owned by non-Igbos there.

It's like this, you own a petrol station along a high way and you and I knows that the only reason why that petrol station is there is because of the road and one day, for an avoidable reason the road is destroyed and when you complain, you are asked to provide title documents for the parts of the road that is destroyed, and they are telling you oh, you can stil do your business after all you can still sell in kegs.
