One id1ot up there was asking why a Prince would steal a phone.
Have you heard of the word KLEPTOMANIA?
Even some rich kids would steal items that can buy, it is just deeper than we can see.
I think of the former Queen of England was like that lol
Stop quoting nonsense,who told you the late beautiful queen Elizabeth 11 was a kleptomaniac, if you have that in mind ask for forgiveness and desist from it

Businessman Ayiri Emami reveals Ajayi Crowther student beaten to death is a Prince in Uvwie and Warri kingdom

Businessman, Ayiri Emami, has revealed that the 200-level student of the Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) in Oyo State, identified as Alex Timileyin, who was allegedly beaten to death by a group of students for allegedly stealing a mobile phone, is a prince in Uvwie and Warri kingdoms in Delta state.

It was earlier reported that the late Timileyin was beaten to his death in his hostel known as Shepherd Inn on the school premises on Saturday, May 25, 2024. A video posted online showed the deceased rolling on the floor while other students were beating him with sticks. The school authorities have since expelled the indicted students and handed them over to the police.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation with many calling for the prosecution of the students.

In a video he recorded on Sunday, Ayiri mentioned that the deceased is a Prince in both Uvwie and Warri kingdom and called on the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde, to ensure that the matter is not swept under the carpet.

Investigations show that the Late Timileyin was the son of Princess Antonia Emiko, daughter of Olu Erejuwa II (1951-1986), and an aunt of the current Olu of Warri. He was also a first cousin of His Majesty, Ogíamè Atuwatsé III CFR, the Olú of Warri Kingdom.

This is gross tbh.

There's NO doubt that he was falsely accused. A boy whose mother is from the prominent Emiko Warri Royal Family of the Itsekiris couldn't have done that. For goodness sake, they are rich!

Justice must be done to ensure those who hand a hand in flogging this boy to death are dealt with. The expulsion from that Uni is the first step.

@OboOlora,

What strong substances have you been smoking lately?... What Queen of England was a kleptomaniac between the iconic Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth? You learned your global history upside down.

On the other hand, I first read back in the 1990s that there are extreme exceptions when kleptomania has taken place among a few rich kids due to the intake of "psychotropic" substances OR due to "brain tumors" which can lead to kleptomania and other forms of antisocial behavior.

There's no doubt, this ain't NO case of kleptomania. The boy was definitely framed up by some of his Uni acquaintances before being beaten to death. His mother's Warri Itsekiri Royal Family folks are well-known to be very rich.

Are we sure he stole a phone? Could be so and could be a cover up for the punishment meted out for whatever reason.
Even if so, wise and well bred students should have reported him to the authorities.
Succinctly stated.

To me this looks like a cult related incident, maybe he refused to join a cult or he has offended the cult boys. The excuse of stealing a mere phone looks like a cover up. Because even if he did steal a phone, other fellow students would have stepped in from to prevent him from being brutalised and the school security would have been alerted.
My thoughts too... The campus gangs could have tried to intimidate him into joining them... Just so many variables.

The Emiko Royal Family of Warri (from where the boy's mother comes from) are wealthy and there's no way that boy would need money that it would NOT be sent to him via e-banking.

I want to see all those who flogged this boy to his untimely death brought to justice with hard labor.

@OboOlora,

The Web link was engaging tbh.

I can see where you were coming from... Indeed, Mary of Teck (who was born into an upper-class, aristocratic family) was King George V's Queen consort.

The kleptomania story is simply an "urban legend." No doubt, Mary was a collector of art works and loved the good things of life, and she may have been perceived incorrectly as an "oju kokoro" by some of the wealthy aristocrats she engaged with, but she was without a shadow of doubt far from being a kleptomaniac. Someone refered to her as an "upmarket kleptomaniac." Lol. But in NO way did she fit into the TRUE definition of a kleptomaniac who is a person who STEALS things that he or she doesn't need."

I found this article below from the Daily Mail which gives another perspective to the story of Mary of Teck (Queen Elizabeth II's paternal grandmother).
=>https://www.dailymail.co.uk/https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11736645/Queen-Mean-Kings-great-grandmother-Mary-Teck-recycled-flowers-vases-friends.html

Mary of Teck (Victoria Mary Augusta Louise Olga Pauline Claudine Agnes; 26 May 1867 – 24 March 1953) was Queen of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Empress of India as the wife of King George V.

Take care.

Ciao. wink
